Suge was right in the sense that he was spoiling the fukk out of his artists. I'm sure he was also strict on them and also did some grimy shyt. But he basically treated them like an NBA team. Had them up in the finest hotels. The finest clothes. Funded any legal fees they needed.

He wasn't spoiling them....THAT was their form of "payment". He was pacifying them with expensive items.

AND.....all their cars and houses were in HIS NAME, not their own. So he ended up taking all that shyt back.

He funded their legal fees because anything he was paying out for them was coming back in DOUBLE to his company, because of how hot Death Row artists were. Can't have your top money-makers lounging in prison.

Dude said he spent millions keeping Nate Dogg out of prison after he robbed 12 Taco Bell's.....had no idea Nate was really active on that level.

As they should be. He bought them shyts. Wtf.....the point is he didn't even have to do that. You think them white execs were loaning out houses to their artists?....Hell nah.

You think white execs are paying for their artists legal fees?....they would let their artists rot in prison for life before that happened. That shyt is not the norm. Anything outside of the music comes out of the artists pockets. Legal fees. Housing. Whatever. There's no doubt Suge did some foul shyt but it definitely wasn't all bad.

A lot of them artists on death row never amounted to shyt after it went under. Truthfully plenty of them didn't even deserve all the perks they received outside of the stars. You can say what you want about Suge but he's the greatest hip hop exec of all time. He just made too many enemies along the way.
