There's a 2 year contestability period from the time the policy starts. I had a case where a young woman did herself in 1 day after 2 years wgen the policy started. We had to payout her policy. One of the reasons, I quit life insurance.

Hate how people act like they care after a person is gone. What a joke

It's usually the people that treated you like shyt that will say that dumb shyt. They only care once they have to feel pain of you not being there, but no empathy for the pain somebody might deal with day to day. Sometimes they will make it worse for their own pleasure then call you selfish for offing yourself. I personally wouldn't give a fukk how my family feels about my death . Nasty MF's better not cut up at my funeral.

My cousin killed himself and the noises my aunt made in grief (crying isn’t the proper word for it) still haunt me sometimes. My other cousins, his brothers will never be whole. It’s selfish in the sense you are cursing someone very close to you unbearable grief that will never heal.

Then again, I also recognize the pain one must be suffering in itself is also unbearable if that is the step you are willing to take.
