HARLEM AL
Your broad loves me.....
Album is solid btw. It’s cohesive. Maybe to cohesive for some lol
R&B artists ain’t coming out the church like they used to. The vocal quality is noticeable.
If you look back, a good number of the greats got their start singing in their church choir and honed their vocal ability.

More Hateevery song sounds the same. blah
I dare a new singer to actually hit a note for a change. Make an whole album with fake accents and autotune

There’s plenty of singers with powerful vocalsI think it isn’t popular less so out of appreciation but more so because R&B is almost like hip-hop light and doesn’t require good vocals so to speak. A lot of R&B, at least mainstream, sounds a lot like “Trapsoul” from Bryson Tiller.
Production can mask the vocal shortcomings.
She definitely got work done after she got poppin' too

Looks like she got her t*ts and ass done, I don't remember her having all that a few years ago when I found out about her. What work did she get done?
H.E.R. comes to mindMainstream though. Not that many I can think of, granted, I haven’t been checking for RnB like that. But if a casual listner like myself is hip to SZA, Summer et al then I think it validates my point to a degree.
