i mean Tomb Raider is a good game the games i listed are great games. Tomb Raider has no business being mentioned in the same sentence as any of them. in fact it actually heavily borrows concepts and lifts whole ideas from the last three games i listed. outside of graphics it doesn't do anything better than any of them really.

most of those games i listed were game of the year winners. not only that but they're some of the best games this generation. Tomb Raider isn't seriously gonna win any game of the year awards in fact in about two weeks a game is gonna hit that's gonna squash whatever minuscule chances it had of seeing one.

I liked the Single player a lot and I beat all the tombs I don't really see a reason to keep it around though

First off, in this day and age gaming has become big business to the point companies will pay for reviews.
Its done for movies, music and videogames. Sony needed MGS4 to be the best game ever made and there was no way any media outlet would talk bad about that game beforehand.
But looking back, most ppl didn't even like MGS4, said it was too cut-scene heavy
That there was literally only an hour and a half of gameplay
Lets act like that wasn't the case, and post up metacritics scores reflecting my point EXACTLY

According to you, MGS4 is a top 3 game this gen when its not even a top 3 game in the series

I'm only 10% into the game and while I do enjoy it and find it entertaining its not fukking with UC2 or 3.


I would proably compare it to the first ucharted game tho, both take place on just one island.


Obviously, i have to finish it before I make a final judgement but that's just where Im at now opinion wise

Metacritic is a silly site. It's good for a loose idea of whether or not a game/movie/TV show/whatever is popular with critics.

They assign numerical value to a review based on it's over all feel. Even if the review isn't based on numbers. The best use of the site is looking at their User Scores, which are more or less the same (8.2-8.8) for all the games winb83 posted.

I am probably going to redeem tomb raider based off the the hype. I will say this tho, Max Payne 3 lived up to my expectations and is probably in my top 5 of single player experiences this gen right now. I might put it up above Batman if it ends solid.

1 - Fallout 3
2 - Mass Effect 2
3 - Batman Arkham Asylum
4 - Max Payne 3
5 - Uncharted 2/Heavy Rain

I still haven't played Skyrim, Tomb Raider, or Far Cry 3. I still mostly prefer linear games...I didn't like Arkham City too much because it was too open IMO...if that makes sense. Fallout 3 was an exception because it was just handled so well...you had to fight for survival from the very moment you stepped out of Vault 101

Uncharted isn't so good its ok. Uncharted 2 is a whole other animal. Uncharted 1 can't compare to is and Uncharted 3 (supposedly even owning it i haven't played it yet failed to live up to its standard).

If you're going to argue that point, do it. Don't use Metacritic as some kinda rationale as to why any of those games are better.

And at saying 4 games you haven't even played 1 minute of being "easily better" than a game that's actually out. Between this statement and the Metacritic shyt I dunno if you're trolling or just have some kinda unhealthy anti-"Tomb Raider" agenda.
