Super late but this tomb raider might be the best single player this gen

Play 5 minutes, and you're met with a 2 minute cut scene, play 10 minutes and you get a 5 min cut scene. I checked and there's 2 hours worth of cut scenes in this game, artificial way of increasing the length of the game. I'm really getting tired of the MGS approach to gaming with over produced long ass cutscenes. I got up took a piss, washed my hands, then went into the kitchen and got a drink & some chips and the cutscene was still going when I came back.

If these game companies want to make a movie, make a movie, stop passing shyt off as a game.

Then just stick to multiplayer homeboy.

TR was nowhere near some MGS shyt. Cutscenes tell the story, if you don't want to hear a story don't play campaign mode.

Nothing worse than a dude playing the campaign skipping the cutscenes. Same type of dudes who`ll tell you the story sucked or be lost about the story later on.

Game could have been longer but they had to add multiplayer.



The kids nowadays love it.

I hate when an obviously SP experience has to reach for those MP dollars.

Just let that shyt be and put all the focus on the single player.

Didn't you like Max Payne 3? It was pretty much the same way at some parts...play a section or two followed by a cutscene. Maybe not 5 minute cutscenes, but pretty lengthy. The part at the airport was probably the most fun I had in that game because I was not interrupted for a while.

Honestly thats why I don't like most games these days...its all the same formula

MP3 was much worse with the cutscenes in my opinion

You can tell a story without needing a cutscence every five minutes, was a cutscene really necessary -

When she was searching the helicopter for the meds? That could have been handled another way. And there were many other instances where the cutscene was completely and utterly pointless and needless filler.

Some of the best single player games this gen don't involve cutscenes every 5 minutes, and like I said the total time for cutscenes in this game is over 2 hours. It was the frequency of the cutscenes that was the issue I had and I shouldn't have to play multiplayer

The singleplayer was one group. Then when they was almost done with the game a totally different team developed the multiplayer. Had no affect on the single player final product. Yet your talking like it did somehow

It's the frequency and pointlessness of these cutscenes, not who has more. Max Payne had long ass cut scenes at the start and end of levels, this game has loads of little ass cutscenes here and there. The shyt is annoying TO ME.

you get some kind of flint thing, and eventually a lighter. but in the beginning, figuring out how to get the fire there is the puzzle
