What if they continue to make profits as they have in the last few generations and the 3DS continues to carry them? Why wouldn't they try again?
I don't see them getting out of the hardware business ever. They would fold first. I mean, these guys have been making hardware
to play their games since before famicom...game and watch and whatnot.
I bolded that to emphasize that they make hardware that they need to support their next wave of software...and thats their #1 focus...even to spite 3rd party developers. N64's controller and cartridge base was selected strictly because of how it would support mario, zelda, and other 1st party games. Wiiu and its pad too.
they'll fold before they develop for another console i believe.
