So you want Nintendo to make $1k consoles, sell them for $500 at a 500 loss, with HDD graphics, an array of similar first-person shooters, GTA, and shyt like that? :troll:

Copying off of their competitors and losing their individuality? Sony did that with the PS3 and look how they turned out. The abandoned their Crash bandicoots, Their Spyros, their (good) Final Fantasy games and all other JRPGs, just to compete with M$ in America. PS3 with the countless first-person shooters and third-person shooters with hyper inflated gaming budgets that put them in the red along with their inferior online service compared to X box Live made them a shadow of their former self. :bryan:

I can't even tell the difference of the type of games that Sony and M$ are doing anymore. Their lack of identity made them :heh: status that relied on hardcore Sony stans that waited for the "Year of the Playstation" that never came in the PS3/360/Wii generation.
:what: That's not true. I keep telling y'all, those games y'all looking for are out there it's just being overshadowed.

First off, Crash wasn't never a Sony IP, it's owned by Activision. Crash was never a Sony made franchise.

Secondly, Sony actually STILL made those platformers that you saying they abandoned. They made several Ratchet and Clank games, a new Sly Cooper game and they created the Littlebigplanet franchise, Puppeteer, Tearaway and Knack just came out. As for RPGS, there's been several such as White Knight Chronicles, Valkyria Chronicles, Tales of titles, Ni no Kuni, and then you have these other type of games like Gravity Rush, Journey, Flower, Infamous etc. The only FPS Sony has is Killzone, Mag, and Resistance. Besides that you have God of War which been out since the PS2 days so it's not a reactionary IP to combat some GOW game on Xbox.

I don't get this line of thinking at all. The majority of these "M$" games you're associating with the brand are third party. The COD's, BF's, and the other FPS are all on both systems.

Sony actually has made much more creative IP's last gen then Microsoft did. What games is Sony copying exactly?? If anything Microsoft is copying both Nintendo and Sony. How you can blatantly say you dont' see the difference between Sony and Microsoft IP's to me is absurd. I don't see nothing like Uncharted, TLOU, LBP, PASBR(Sony smash) or w/e on Microsoft.

I(They) dont care if it has the games or not, they just dont want those games on a Nintendo console. So no game can ever change their minds about Nintendo competing with the other two systems, even if the graphics were up to par.

Interesting points. If anything Sony definitely came up with some creative stuff, wouldn't say MS copied their gaming formula though.

What I mean by Microsoft copying is they took the idea of the PS EYE and souped it up(Kinect). The Kinect games are basically a hands free version of the Wii gimmicks. It's pretty simple to see. I started off this gen with a 360 and loved it but once 2009 or so came around and I only had a Wii(long story short I sold my 360) I decided to cop a PS3 next solely off that Metal Gear Solid 4 and FFXIII. I saw all these exclusives coming to PS3 and realized the same shyt I played on 360 was also on there too I decided to just rock with PS3/wii but I digress. The Wii was collecting dust and Microsoft started beating people upside the head with their Kinect propaganda. Sony did too with the Move and it seemed blatantly like a rip off of the Wiimote but I tried it out, thought it was cool for a week and sold it. I don't want care for these motion camera games.

wii u smelling like a dead body

nintendo will hold on like they did for the gamecube (but end up selling slightly worse than gamecube) and then do something drastic in about three years (like they did with the wii)

I'm being optimistic, I think people are just throwing in the towel way too soon. If Nintendo comes out with a steady stream of dope exclusive games and they somehow make the Wii U $279 or something I can see it moving a lot of units. It was the same way with the gamecube and I remember once they dropped the price down to $99 a lot of people jumped on it even though it was inferior in the sheer quantity of games to PS2/Xbox.

People acting like once they show off a new Zelda, Metroid or any other franchise they got under their sleeves they won't crack under pressure. If Nintendo is making 1st party titles that are selling upwards of 10 million to 20+ why not just make more of them??? If people pay $60 a year for yearly installments of COD/AssCreed/Sports then surely Nintendo can conjure up something similar to that.

Right now it's the price point, the Wii U doesn't seem like a good value even though it's not as expensive as the other two consoles.

If I were Nintendo I'd find a way to get a digital storefront with Amazon or something a la Amazon PSN store. Allow games to be installed on external drives and just focus on developing some of those IP's usually reserved for 3DS for Wii U. 3DS ain't thriving off of 3rd party ports that's for sure so they can hold their own in the console area if they put some of that shyt on consoles. Why in the world is there not a 3d open world Pokemon game on consoles yet??(Besides that shyt on GC)

If SM3DW came out on the PS3, people will praise it to no end. People hate Nintendo with a passion and never give them their props.

the franchises are tired.Things like Zelda becoming more cinematic and giving the characters voice acting should have happened.

Now with the Wii U everything is a level playing field with all three of these systems coming out close to at the same time. there's no gimmicks to save Nintendo. Microsoft figured out how to penetrate the market and the modest sales they had with the Xbox are a thing of the past. Nintendo is still stuck at Gamecube level success and Microsoft is far beyond that now.

nintendo doesnt need a gimmick wii wasnt really a gimmick as much as it was changing the way games are played--look at kinect. EA wasnt really on board with throwing your hands up to catch a ball or making a throwing motion to throw the ball, but now they see that it can work. nintendo makes games that people will want to play for years and years. Its like if you were to win the lottery, some people want their 5million right now, others want theirs in installments over the next 20-30 years. Nintendo is the latter. They dont need to sell a shyt load out the gate cause eventually their consumers are going to come around and they always have. Things like mario and zelda having voices and character are what separates them from the other games. Personally im sick of character actors, id rather read zelda and listen to the budget that they spend on the orchestra to make the music for twilight princess :manny: What should zelda sound like, some whiny bytch? Should young zelda sound like simba from lion king and old zelda have a deep voice like brad pitt or tom hanks or some other cac? Some character acting is cool, like metal gear solid, its very mature they dont sound stupid as hell, but most games the actors and voices are annoying as hell and for games like cod i turn the voices down and the guns/sound effects up or tone out what theyre saying.

Hate when you dumb smart nikkas compare Mario to a fps....Mario been stomping out goombas the same way since the 80s....what's different? Power ups? Perspective? Foh....ppl buy fps because they're fun, you over analytical nikkas kill me with the "real gamers play mario" shyt. :russ:

you have a point in that every year nikkas buy madden (which changed subtlety) and cod (which doesnt change much at all) but you can compare really any of the marios except galaxy 1 and 2, which got better, or any of the metroids...even the zeldas although similar are completely different with different storylines. COD doesnt even have that much of a difference when they do world at war, modern warfare, black ops, and even the old ww2.

those are disposable games, your not gonna go back in a couple years and play black ops. your likely to pop in twilight princess and play through it, or metal gear solid --games like that. I believe that sony and ms have caught up to nintendo in that they have more games you are likely to keep on hand and go back through, like metal gear series and some others. although those games are disposable the money generated isnt and i agree nintendo loses a lot of money that could be generated from those third party games but all in all nintendo will be fine.

Iwata has to go. He's steering the titanic into the iceberg unwavering with a slow and steady hand. With everything falling apart around him his response is we'll just keep doing what we've done for decades and if we keep doing that things will right themselves eventually.

Nintendo's next system after the Wii should have been a console / portable hybrid that could plug up to the TV or be played on the go with the same games either way. Instead they made a console / portable hybrid that's tethered to the console side and isn't portable.

they kind of did it with the 3ds, they just need more games that can be transferred back and forth from console to hand held and chill with the double dipping having to buy the game on both the console and handheld...MH3U definitely my favorite game on the system even after playing SM3dW, and has this feature...super smash bros should be dope to...

WHAT? LOL

If anything it was 2006-2008 that hurt them the most

Outside of Uncharted, Little Big Planet and GoW, all the other Sony IPs had a gun in them on some 1st and 3rd person shooters shyt. It was nothing like the PS1 and PS2 era where it was plenty of JRPGs, platformers, stealth games outside MGS, etc.
