Bruh stop acting brand new. Well even if you are new to this someone in Bernies camp should have known wassup. You don't win the democratic primary without black people. Period. Bernie tried to run up the score with Mexicans and young white people but that doesn't make up 65 to 15 point gaps with black support.

And how do you gain black support, it isn't with stump speeches, it isn't with ads, it isn't with gaff tweets. You win black support through relationships and familiarity. Joe had that built in through Obama so Bernie had to work three times as hard to overcome that, and he didn't. Bernie needed to spend the past 4 years in the south trying to black support. Not Mexican support, black support. The only thing older black people trust less than a white person is a new white person.
Sad.

He tells you Bernie's policies are better for black people and the basic response was he didn't come to black churches enough. I guess there's a reason why we hardly ever see improvement in quality of life despite our so called voting power

Gotta build relationships.

In this thread we have people saying they're going to sit out in protest if Bernie loses.

Please explain to me how that's not rejecting better policy?

hmmm Biden got the votes for the reform to get passed in the senate.. Yes let’s cook...
"I GOT THE VOTES" talking point is played.

Someone else pointed (Obama) and he followed. Why is that supposed to make me believe that when it's his turn to point that he's going to point in the direction of a bill that's helpful for me instead of hurtful? Because he is known to Southern blacks? Because Clyburn? Give me a bill that I can get behind that HE originated or promotes heavily that is a significant positive for black people. Don't tell me shyt about what he did to get other people's agendas passed

Honestly if Bernie has spent more time in the last 30 years electing more progressives to congress he would not have to hinge everything on the presidency.

I won't debate the fact you have to build relationships but a half century of building relationships has only seen a continuing gap between blacks in America and everyone else. At some point we gotta stop eating shyt and vote based on policy instead of who's shucking for the black vote

Most people didn’t think I was being disingenuous. Only a few hardcore Bernie supporters thought that.

And this is the problem. Out of everything I wrote you focused just on reparations, when I said reparations and Black issue in general. I mentioned how Bernie couldn’t attack Biden on the Crime Bill because he voted for it as well. Bernie talking about reparations was only one example of him struggling with discussing Black issues. Listen, I know you don’t want to believe it but it definitely hurt him. It might not of been the deciding factor but it was a negative for him.

Bernie answer on reparations was worse than any of the other candidates. Not only did he not support reparations, but more importantly his was tone death, on the CNN town hall, and when he went on the Breakfast Club. Kyle from Secular Talk freaked out about Bernie getting heavy criticized for his reparations answer at the time

He agreed with Bernie position and he even admitted that it hurt him. Was it the only factor no. But it is just wrong t say it had zero impact. Besides, that wasn’t even my main point.

Just a question, because I don't know: do old black people support reparations as much as young people?
