Not everything has to be female centric ffs. It's okay having some villains that happen to be men not controlled by women

A lot of the plotkai is based off this feminist bullshyt..
You can have strong female leads that don't have to play "damsel in distress"..
That's what made Buffy a great show(Wynona Earp took a page from that book)..
You can still make the protagonist strong, confident and sexy with flaws without her "depending" for male help or approval..
This shyt really started to rub me the wrong way last season.
Hell even Liv from IZombie is more of a female role model, and her character is dead:russ:
The men are hella weak and aren't even considered equals + the forced romances(because you fukking your costar outside work) +insane power ups Supergirl magically acquires + Villians that aren't even cerebral or pose a real threat + the lead really can't act for shyt = how :dahell: did they get a third season..

'Supergirl' Shake-Up: Erica Durance Replacing Laura Benanti

erica_durance_45.jpg

Erica Durance, who played Lois Lane on the network's Smallville, is taking over the role of Alura for Laura Benanti in season three.

Durance will recur in the upcoming third season and step into the role of Alura, the mother of Melissa Benoist's Supergirl.

"Unfortunately Laura, who Greg [Berlanti] and I have worked with for years going back to Eli Stone, was unable to continue in the role due to work commitments in New York," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement. "But we are so blessed that Erica has come aboard to offer her own interpretation of Kara's mother. We had tremendous success with a former Lois Lane last season with Teri Hatcher. We know Erica will continue the proud tradition of legacy actors joining our shows and creating new and exciting takes on classic DC characters."

Durance starred as Lois Lane for more than 140 episodes on Smallville, first joining in season four and being promoted to series regular in seasons five through 10. More recently, she wrapped Canadian drama Saving Hope. She's repped by PMG Management and Meyer & Downs.

I don't care who they hire to act in this show..
It's the writing that is abysmal and needs to be addressed..
The first season was really strong then they went to CW and started adding all this shyt and unnecessary plot, rushed themes and sand bagging likable characters for a crappy romance and subpar finale(Teri Hatcher was very good as a villian).
Too many cooks in the kitchen..
I'll give the third season at least two shows but it's bushes if the shyt stays on the current course..
