"Supergirl" TV show thread

Mid way through the 2nd season and the way they pushed the James Olsen character to the side is

They spent that whole time developing Supergirl and his relationship. They fukking kiss. And then Superboy shows up and she puts James in the friend zone and gets with the white boy.

On top of that, this season seems to focus more on the GIRL instead of the Super. So focused on relationships and all that other bullshyt . They make Jimmy’s Guatdian alter ego to be a punk. EVERY time he gets in that suit he gets thrown in the bushes.

I’m gonna finish it but this show went to shyt.


First season is still fire tho..

Just seen the episode with psy..This show is still carrying over the same mistakes that have always hampered it.

Another episode another female villian with most of the episode consisting of dithering men in peril.Is there a reason everything has to be female centric?

Anyone notice how depowered and useless j'onn has become? David Hayward should leave

Speaking of useless is there a particular reason James is like everybody's whipping boy? Abruptly dumped by Kara, snapper carr tho a subordinate never listened to him, now Lena practically doesn't respect him either? Where has guardian been the last 2 weeks

If the overall tone isnt going to be darker I don't see the need to change the intro titles or make Kara on her period 24/7

By far the weakest out of the CW DC shows. I struggle to get through this shyt. And Martian Manhunter is a fukking jobber.

This season is clearly no improvement on the dire 2nd season but I keep watching cuz of the action/ in hope that given the premise it can turn it around

I hated the shows original trailers until I finally gave season 1 a chance I loved it man. It's more CWs consistent melodrama and constant pandering that annoys me about this shows later seasons. Martian Manhunter being nerfed unbelievably bothers the hell out of me tooJim getting shafted in and out of costume Alex was a dope ass character in season 1 and they've done a serious disservice to her character since.

I agree with everything but the bit in bold. Alex character was ridiculously overpowered in s1 that at times I wondered if they were going to reveal she was a meta. She would fearlessly go hand to hand with superpowered villains and beat them on pure brawn

I like that Alex has softened her and she now stays in her lane. You have a show called supergirl but the adopted sister (who is human) takes turns saving the day too? It was a farce

I'm somewhat surprised how much some of you liked season 1. It definitely had many issues as well and the show still hasn't had a great or even really fun villain like the other CW shows have had. Nailing that really helps in defining a season overall.

The show does miss Calista Flockhart as well, since her relationship with Kara was easily one of the best things about season 1.

The Maggie/Alex stuff hasn't been handled the best, but Maggie dealing with her father tonight was

J'onn breaking through to his dad was solid as well and now he's on Earth

I'm somewhat surprised how much some of you liked season 1. It definitely had many issues as well

Lol no one said it was perfect by any stretch or even great but whatever shortfalls it had I put it to new show kinks and cbs meddling. There was enough potential there that when it moved to CW I thought could be easily fixed. It hasn't happened in fact the show has gotten worse and that's unforgivable
