[James Gunn] continued, “Yes, it’s about politics. But on another level it’s about morality. Do you never kill no matter what — which is what Superman believes — or do you have some balance, as Lois believes? It’s really about their relationship and the way different opinions on basic moral beliefs can tear two people apart.”

I disagree with Gunn here. Superman can and will kill, but only when it's absolutely necessary. It's a last resort usually reserved for the most evil and formidable villains. Superman would never kill Lex Luthor, for example, but Darkseid? Yes, he would.
You have to ponder on Gunns statement with consideration to the adversity Superman faces in this movie. Character development would be Superman view points evolving based on obstacles placed his way.

I'll always remember when, in Superman: TAS, Darkseid disintegrates Dan Turpin with his omega beams. Superman is enraged and ready to rip Darkseid to shreds. Darkseid boom tubes away, though.

Yes, Superman is hopeful, optimistic, and doesn't look to kill 99% of the time...but if you cross the line, Supes will pack you up :manny:

I know Byrne had him kill the three kryptonians but I swear that’s been retconned anyway. Superman for the most part is the man that always strives to find another way. Just look at the war world sage and the stance he takes there as well as in other comics.

I'm telling you right now. WB will view this as a failure if it makes under 700 million. I don't see this making 700 million. People in the industry are already expecting this to be a failure.

Honestly if it makes under 750 million, in my eyes it's a failure. I'll be shocked if it makes over 750.

You debating yourself. Lol?

I don't think that we're saying anything different.

Superman usually looks to resolve situations without killing. However, in certain circumstances and against certain opponents, he will kill as a last resort.

lol nothing surrounding this movie is filling me with confidence. I'll go to see it in IMAX but I have a feeling I'm gonna leave the cinema feeling :francis: once again as I've had quite a few letdowns over the past year from movies I thought I was gonna like.

I'm more hopeful for FF.

That’s a bold claim. You really think JW gonna bite into super man like that :ohhh:

We see in the trailers Supes getting pimp smacked left and right, so T-Rex will give him that work next week.

Supes in the 21st century is a 600 WW at most film, and that isn't a problem. MoS got the Nolan stimulus package just coming off the association with the Goatlan trilogy....

Why? Explain.

This. I'll wait until 2-3 weeks after both Superman/FF are released to avoid the crowds as much as I possibly can.

I'm definitely going to see Superman in IMAX though.
