THIS ISNT ABOUT EVERY SUPERHERO MOVIE.

THIS IS ABOUT THE MOST HYPED
SUPERMAN MOVIE OF ALL TIME

THEYVE BEEN PROMOTING
THIS MOVIE FOR 7 MONTHS

Have they really? I was thinking how garbage the promotion has been. Havent seen any interviews from the cast. Havent seen much on twitter about it til today which is how i realized it was out. They definitely dropped the ball with this. If its a great movie thats the most important thing. The money will come if word of mouth is there.

Watched a few YouTube reviews now, if your a comic head you will absolutely adore this movie. People are saying that it’s definitely a great start to this universe which is what was essentially needed so looks like Gunn understood the mission. Now let’s see what the critics and box office numbers do.

I don't care what you guys think. You would be foolish if you think WB would be happy with Superman only making 500 million, especially when it is supposed to kick off this new DC universe.

They want and expect over 700 million. The fact he's come out and speaking on it, makes me think they know the tracking isn't that great, and they want to lower expectations.
Of course they want over 700 millions, they want over 2 billions.

That doesn't change the fact that people arguing with the actual director and producer of the damn thing are silly.

i hope its good but seeing so many people use the word goofy in the reviews I duno bout that.
They mean goofy as in "wacky" and "comic book-like".

Superman is not "dark" and "realistic" like The Batman. So, of course, there are going to be "goofy" elements.

Box Office will have the loudest voice here, seeing it Thursday.
also seeing alot of the phrase "comic booky" which as a comic book fan. i'm not sure i understand what they mean by that.
I suspect it means campy. or wacky. Like Archie Comics. Comics come in all tones and genres, so using such a broad terms strikes me as casual and casuals generally see comics the like the funny pages in the newpapers. Not some epic story like the infinity saga. or the dark knight trilogy

It means "fantastical" and "wacky".

Many superhero movies in recent years/decades have run away from that side of the comics in order to be "gritty" and "realistic". Superman is embracing the more "colorful" side of comics.

Nothing that you couldn't tell from the trailer already.

A more colorful side to comics is merely a description to me, not an indicator of quality.
There are just as many great gritty and realistic comics as there are great wacky goofy shyts. if not more.
If you have ever read the comic Maus, its about holocaust. Its highly acclaimed and just as valid to be describe as comic booky as a colorful Archie comic.

That doesn't mean one way is more correct than another. What indicates quality to me is the specific comic the movies are based on, and whether or not they used good source material or bad source material. Generally the further away from good comics they get, the weaker the movie is. and as i said earlier, most of my favorite superman comics aren't on the colorful side of comics.

Stop with the dissertation, breh. Most of the reviews so far have liked it.

However, watch it for yourself and see what you think. No need for anything else.
