considering the strong reviews and great audience scores, sounds like Gunn/DC will come out the gates with a big hit on their hands

Im super excited to check this on Saturday, the way its being described is everything I think I want in a comic movie right now after slogging through mid MCU outings for such a long time (I am excited for F4 however). Ive been watching some of the free DCU animated flicks free on YT this week at night on vacation and it feels like the perfect primer for this movie

Probably my fourth favorite Superman movie, but I only really dislike 2 of them.

Love all of those, with Superman OG being the only flawless one for me (top 5 urrethang). MoS ranks HIGH HIGH for me though.

There's a bit too much James Gunn in this one for me to rank it with the Snyder's or the OG, but he captures 'his' Superman very well. Superman actor did his thing, rank him behind Chris and Henry but above Rough, who I like.

Mister Terrific, and all the cameos, was dope and didn't detract.

This Luthor is much closer to Eisenberg than a lot of people will admit, closer to him than Hackman or Spacey. But I fukks with all of them so fine for me.

Will give more thoughts as it sinks in and everybody else sees it.

I wouldnt be surprised if the DCU makes The Terrifics film. You already have Mr Terrific and Metamorpho and I remember James Gunn posting that comic run when he first became the DCU head.

do yourselves a favor and watch it in 4DX. I'm not big on 4DX cause the one or two times I watched a movie in that format it felt real gimmicky. But this? It turned what was already an enjoyable movie into an amazing experience. It felt like a literal roller coaster at times, but not in a distracting way. I'm sure your son will love it. The movements and effects matched the action sequences to a T imo

4DX destroys my tailbone. I may have to make a pact to never see another movie in that format again cause . The older you get, the rougher it is.
