I loved the Krypto reveal at the end

That Krypto was Kara's dog.

They seeded the reveal throughout the film without me noticing.

I thought it was weird that Supes asked Lex where was "the" dog and not "my" dog

When Supes told Lois that it was a foster situation, I thought it was weird to phrase having a dog that way. I mean isn't most dog ownership a form of foster situation?

All through the film Supes never interacts with the dog like a owner would. He never even acted like he liked the dog

Therefore when it was revealed that it was Kara's dog it all made sense.

Even though I read that Kara had been cast for this film I completely forgot she was going to be in it.

I completely forgot too

It was a nice little shock for me…..

hell I forgot the actress who is playing her was was playing her and I just recently a few weeks ago watched some of her other work in the show Sirens

Hating on man of steel now is the cool thing to do because it's old news and Superman 2025 is the brand new toy. The same mfs critiquing it was dikkinriding it and the studio at the time. Now they need something new to dikk ride
Someone in this thread mentioned revisionist history and that’s what has occurred with Snyder movies. People acting like they were universally loved and cherished at the time of their release. I can’t personally speak for everyone but me personally I hated that movie from day one and saw it as the abomination it was.

I forgot to mention this in my previous post, but living in this movie's metropolis might be worse than living in MCU NYC :mjlol:

Superman clones posing as foreign methahuman individuals attacking the city, Giant Kaiju monsters, dimensional imps, a spatial rift that almost destroys the entire city and creates a black hole, all occurring in the span of like a week. fukk living in metropolis :dead:

I rewatched Justice Leauge Unlimited a few months ago and it felt like live action JL in a good way.

I don’t remember JL or JLU being goofy in a BAD way + Superman I remember was played SERIOUS and had moments where he would even SNAP or threaten characters :patrice: I’m hearing he gets his ASS BEAT REPEATEDLY in this one :picard:

Different periods and time, the cinema going experience has changed completely in the last decade and especially since Covid. Would have been interesting to see how this movie did during the Superhero movie renaissance.

THE BATMAN did 772 WORLDWIDE during the Pandemic.

Everyone said the hype for this movie was through the roof. And it might not crack 600 million worldwide. The movie is too goofy. It's microwave entertainment. I don't think many people will go see it multiple times in the theaters.

Superman isn't a blockbuster attraction anymore. He hasn't been since they ruined the original series

YOU WOULD HAVE A POINT
IF THESE WERE ALL RANDOM ACTS
BUT DAMN NEAR EVERYTHING YOU MENTIONED WAS ORCHESTRATED
BY ONE PERSON WHICH IS WHAT
I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THE PLOT
AND REMOVES THE WHOLE
"THIS WAS A COMIC BOOK" MOVIE
ASPECT IN MY OPINION

Snyder Bros and MAGA bros all coming for this :pachaha: how much overlap you think there is? :jbhmm:

This is a new LOW level of SHILLING even for you Mike :scust:

Talking like YOU weren’t the PRIMARY defender of Man of Steel who didn’t attack anyone who was critical of the movie and Snyder:mjlol:. But now because DC is run by Gunn and he made a Superman flick you’re now calling MOS/Snyder fans “MAGA”:what:

Snyder showing all them fakkits how it's done. Throw that corny shyt in the bushes. We want superheroes doing superhero things. No corny "comedy" fukk the haters :ahh: :ahh:

Why do people keep saying in here that "Snyder can't tell a great story". Snyder is a director. He's not the screenwriter. He has ideas where he wants the movie to go and then the screenwriter pens the dialogue and everything else. Or often times the script is already written.

There was nothing wrong with the story that was told in Batman vs. Superman. It was the editing that fukked up the theatrical cut which again is not Snyder. The director's cut was far superior.

5 years later.. still all these thought provoking discussions. It really is going down as a blassic but I already knew that then :whew:

There's a reason why James Cameron is a Snyder stan. :wow:

we're not

Look, James Cameron and those types have praised Snyder as a visionary, I'm not sure why this is even a debate on here. Snyder is quite obviously one of the best to do action out there.

the very vocal minority took an L with their nonsensical criticisms of Man of Steel and they still haven't recovered. They were at Wonder Woman trying not to enjoy it :sadbron:

They were at Aquaman trying not to enjoy it :sadbron:

Time to move on brehs. History has been very kind to Man of Steel and it will age like fine wine. Take the L and better yourselves.

Snyder da gawd

Snyder with a blank check and corporate execs out the way :whew:

A true superhero classic. Thanks Snyder. :salute:

I guess your ass is MAGA right? :childplease:

Didnt care for the Jimmy Olsen subplot but most of the movie was on point.

Was not expecting to see that drug dealer from the Pusher movies play that European president :dead:

And that Peacemaker cameo :russ:
