I definitely get the 10/10 scores, and I get the "it was fine" 7 / 10 scores. All style preference.

This thread has a weird hater comparison to man or steel and the batman, mostly on box office...which hasn't been settled and isn't a quality indicator. Weird fanboy shyt. That "it's a mess" shyt ..when, like or hate it, this is clearly a coherent movie and not a mess lol

This movie aside, There will be like 50 muhfukkas commenting about something they enjoyed, but out of the 200 comments, 60% of em will be from the ONE nikka that hates it. Why is this always the dynamic without fail? Like, religiously

This was overall an entertaining watch that had elements I liked but I did not love it, 6/10

Pros:
Felt like a comic come to life.

David Corenswet is a good Superman and plays him in a manner I like. My only gripe is his lack of gravitas, I hope this comes out in future films.

Rachel Brosnahan is good as Louis

The chemistry between Superman and Lois

Guy Gardner is funny

Mr Terrific is the standout character for me

This was not an orgin and the world was established.

Cons:

Lex Luther, I did not find him menacing, interesting nor did I buy why this version hated Superman.

The music/soundtrack

The Jimmy subplot is goofy

The plot is messy

Krypto, he was not endering to me

Alot of the humor didn't land with me

Because normal people who dont like something would just not entertain it(posting about it alot or w/e). For example I dont fukk with BMF show anymore, so I stopped posting in the thread on it here. Some people are weirdos and cant even stand when ppl like something that they deemed trash. Instead of just ignoring the movie/thread/posts they have to go in it and let everyone know how trash it is and how much they dont like it and keep posting.

It's like on another forum on I'm on that has a wrestling discussion. You got people that fukk with AEW and WWE. Anytime WWE gets brought up, the AEW posters make it a point to go into WWE threads(even though they hate WWE) and bytch about "nobody should be supporting this company, if you watch WWE then you are ok with Vince McMahon raping women" etc. Like it's not that deep, ppl just trying to enjoy a wrestling show

It doesnt though, least not with the extreme side of the coin that poster is talking about. He's not talking about the normal people having legit discussions about what the movie did right or wrong in their eyes. He talking about the extreme case ppl that it's obvious they hate it movie, were never gonna like the movie, and happy about it failing. They offer nothing but bullshyt in any discussion.

Anyone else think this movie has the best flying sequence in a Superman film by a mile? That shot when he recovers in the fortress and takes off flying is so breathtaking along with the music and David’s smile. That was so Superman, I thought with Gunn adopting Williams Superman theme the music for the entire movie was going to be epic.

Fantastic Four looks like outside of The Thing. It also doesn't look like it has anywhere near as much action compared to this movie. Maybe it's being hidden. But it doesn't scream theater WORTHY other than being a "Marvel Movie"

I heard some of the plot points and I think it’s gonna bomb. shyt sounds depressing and pretentious.

If it bombs though expect Marvel to you know put in effort and start bringing out the A properties like X-Men

This shyt right here I fukking LOVE All Star Superman AND dogs so this movie was awesome.

The casting was so good that I want more of the Planet crew, p*ssy hound Jimmy was hilarious, if this gets a sequel hopefully they go in on all the super gadgets Superman was always giving him in the golden age.

Lex was amazing, by far the best one on screen yet, same with Superman, and love that they didn't make him a fukking god.

Hopefully Marvel takes notes and takes inspiration from New X-Men for the reboot ( I have a GOAT Morrison bias)

James Gunn is definitely the director thats best understands comic books, if thats gonna reflect in the box office that's another thing but whatever its not my money I'm just gonna enjoy all this piff

It was always destined to bomb. I dont see how many ways people can tell you they dont give a damn about Fantastic Four. I feel they made the movie just to set up Dr Doom


Making a Fantastic Four movie without Doom is a fumble. Then they didnt bother focusing on making a great Silver Surfer(looks like shyt from the trailer). Then there is no Hulk in the movie for fan service to fight the Thing. This movie has tax write off written all over it.
