Was this good or nah
It was Iron man 2.
But swap iron man with superman. swap black widow and her random hallway scene with Mr Terrific and his random corridor scene.
instead of war machine being the sidekick saving iron man, you got a goofy dog saving superman. and several ties to future avengers/justicegang movie team up via Nick Fury/Coulson/Green Lantern/Hawkgirl instead of focusing on a singular story about ironman/superman.
Satisfying action, good character representation. but you would walk away disappointed if this movie had to stand on its own. Fortunately we all know the sequels and spinoffs will come. but they can still do a better job making each movie stand more on their own

Avengers compound
People can certainly point to overseas for these comic book movies and be a little concerned but the bulk of the money comes from domestic performance because that's where you're getting 60%+ from the gross and that's where 'Superman' is cleaning up right now.
Unfortunately what's going on in the white house is also a big factor internationally. It may be a wrap world wide for now unless something truly special gets made.
