What's "nerdy" about Hoult's Lex Luthor?

Anyway, maybe it's the fact that this is a younger Lex why you think that way.

With that said, I do believe that Lex has been overdone in live-action. They need to showcase other Superman villains besides Lex & Zod (like Brainiac, Mr. Mxy, Metallo, Parasite, Mongul, etc).

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

This scene just won me over. Look at the complete calmness in Lex, the very first time he meets Superman, when even superheroes are in fear of him. He doesn't even flinch. Stood eye to eye with him like he was from Krypton himself. Then shyt talked him when he knew only he could hear it.

I think this one is going to be different

A Brainiac or Metallo film would be amazing to see, but we've had Lex as the main antagonist in nearly every incarnation.

Or gives us a Lex with TAS energy. Synder's autistic Lex didn't work in retrospect.

There are a lot of people who believe if Lex isn't exactly like the JL series that he's not Lex. This guy is a very good actor, I think he'll do well.

Hoult is a great actor, I'm just hoping it isn't a campy Hackman/Spacey rendition. I'll be finding out in a few weeks...
