To add to that, I listed all of the scenes that were played for emotional weight and he didn't comment on any of them because he and a couple others know I'm right when I said this movie wasn't just about the comedy....

This movie was by far the best Superman/Lois love chemistry in any superman post comic media I've ever seen. Only 1978 compares but this one had me actually rooting for their relationship. And like I said, the scene with pa kent is an all timer...mf gonna be crying to that. But instead we get reach nitpicks because ...that's what we do now

And with Lex being a cac, it tracks wonderfully since anything non-white/non-American is a threat. All those operators in Lex Tower were definitely on that MAGA tip. Gunn also did a wonderful job highlighting the police brutality that undesirables receive.

Hawkgirl also has legal ties with a business saving the world which is owned by Maxwell Lord. If he tried anything with her it would’ve led to an inquiry from the justice gang lol and Maxwell lord who IS NOT to be fukked with.

Agreed, although I hoped for Lois to be a bit more likable. I'm never that big of a fan of damsels in distress putting themselves in danger purposefully, but that's what she does, so I get it.

I'm usually more a fan of lois or mary jane when they are moreso emotional support in between shyt and not actively looking for trouble.

SUPERMAN SUPERMAN SUPERMAN SUPERMAN when they raised the flag at the end and everyone started chanting that it had me emotionally invested lol I think this maybe the best supes film. It really showed how he is the symbol of hope and empathy

then you have something traumatic happen and the movie takes it foot off the gas to give the audience a break in tone.

like destroying his home and dragging the dog away? or when the entire world turned on him in minutes after they saw his parents' full video? even the look on his face showed he was devastated by it.

or the pocket universe where a guard gets executed right in front of him point blank while there's nothing he can do about it as he's being suffocated & posioned by kryptonite, bringing him to tears?

Lex violated him in so many ways that would break any normal person - the dog, his home, his parents message, his image around the world. there were a lot of comedic moments but a lot of personal trauma in this as well that supe wen tthru

People wanna make Cavill/Corenswet comparisons, I think both are great for what their version of Superman calls for.... I prefer Corenswet because he's just a better actor overall in my opinion..

But let's talk about Lois and Luthor. Hoult is a FAR SUPERIOR Lex than Jesse Eisenberg, it's not even close.. he's a better Lex than Hackman was too

And Lois.. Rachel is way better than wooden ass Amy Adams (who is good in other films but a tad overrated if you ask me)
