I liked the Henry Superman movie but this was just as good but in different ways. I would give it a 7.9 out of 10. Feels like they put a lot of shyt in one movie. I am excited for the new dc universe tho if it’s gonna be like this.

Because of the contrast, I can now say MOS is a Sci fi movie...and thats ok
Just watched it. I like it. Definitely a Jame's Gunn movie. Loved the cameos.
However...
Man of Steel >>> Superman 2025
Man of Steel was incredible. It had at least two questionable moments that made or break it for folks like killing Zod for example but I don't see how it's so different from this one killing
I actually like that Supe's was taking L's left and right. That happened in MoS too. Faora was kicking his ass. Love that chick. I didn't like The Engineer. Faora was a far better villainess.
The music...the soundtrack of MoS is superb. Hans Zimmer went H.A.M. Maybe that's because Christopher Nolan was the producer. I don't have any of the music in my head or remember anything from this new movie.
There are things Gunn did better than Synder but not enough to make this better than MoS. He certainly tried tho.

Luthor crying at the end was chef's kiss.
I feel like there was a missed opportunity at the end to shyt on Lex a bit more. That's how annoying he was in this flick.
Krypto breaking his arm is not enough.

Just finished. Great fukkin movie. I know we’re tired of beating a dead horse, but this shyt all over MOS, and David shyts all over cavill.
Great action, the comedy was well placed and not overdone, great acting all around. Guy, Mr terrific, Hawkgirl and metamorpho did a great job in their scenes, especially Mr Terrific

This is pinnacle Superman.
Unlike Man of Steel... Which Synder only ever cared about the spectacle of Superman and never the character which makes Superman.
James Gunn brilliantly deconstructs what makes Superman a human being and not idolize as super being.
The only thing that Snyder every cared about Superman was the spectacle and conflict while making him a god.
Superman is such an endearing character, and it's completely wasted in Man of Steel. Plus, Kent was done so horribly wrong in that film. Telling Clark to hide his powers and fear humans was sooo weird.

Definitely wouldnt say its as goofy as Batman Forever. Plus when you say Batmam Forever people immediately think of a garbage film.
This is basically MCU Superman,but LESS goofy.
It's a close analogy, this was certainly more slapstick than we've seen Supes in a while, but not as bad as Superman 3 with Richard Pryor level of forced comedy.
Clark and Lois are having a serious discussion and in the background Green Lantern is smashing that monster with a green hammer. Or Supes getting wrecked and Eve taking a selfie in the background while it is happening.
If they removed the jokey bits, it would be a 7.5/8.0 film.
Now is the Batman they pick gonna be campy like Adam West? Cause a Batfleck going around Gotham would get stopped by this Superman since it seems he has no problem fighting vigilantes or other rogue elements across the planet. Doubtful he'd let a masked man beat criminals to death or at a minimum have brain injuries in a town less than a mile away from Metropolis.
