I thought it was good but I wasn’t super in love with it. Supes is just boring to me - DC can get so dark with the litany of names they have, I don’t need a by the book straight faced Superman joint. I’m sure they’ll get to the movies where he’s pushed more morally in the future tho. I trust Gunn too
We don't need that
There's enough morally pushed Superman influenced characters in other media
And morally dubious characters in DC

Let Superman remain pure

Dark knight is the best movie about the joker. The batman is the best movie about batman.

Great analysis. I agree.

Pattinson was a great batman but the movie fell short to me, especially in the end.

The dark knight opened the platform to movies being more villain focused because it's never been done before.

It's why we had a joker movie.

Saw it. I give it a 4/5.

Though without a doubt this was a very fun movie worth the watch. This was a quirky Superhero movie but I like it. I was extremely happy how much screen time James Gunn gave Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific. Just because I keep on saying it, the way how he was offed in First Class was fukking stupid.

Edi was looking for representation, and Gunn didn't just give him a role, but I want to see more of him.

Bruh!

He was damn near perfect. I hope Gunn makes a JSA Terrifics movie with Mr. Terrific and Metamorpho so we can have his character fleshed out and connected to the original Mr. Terrific.

I can't believe nikkas were in here saying Man of Steel was better :dead:

No way in fukk, this was a damn great movie.

The Moravia and Jahainpur(typo?) parallels to Israel and Gaza :wow:

The dead internet theory with the monkeys in that phantom zone place :wow:

The parallels between Lex Luthor and Elon Musk :wow:

Mr Terrific :damn:

Didn't feel convoluted at all imo, Superman brought it all together in the end.

Probably the best Superman movie in my lifetime. I didn't like the tone of MOS even though I loved Zod and Cavill. This felt like a live action Justice League episode.

This is also the first movie Lex that actually felt like a threat. This was the perfect mix of World's Smartest Man, mad scientist and business mogul. Throw him in a suit of armor, give him a castle and have him speak in 3rd person and you have a great Doom. Hopefully Downey and the Russo brothers do as good a job. Since I'm in a FF mood, the Terrifics would make a great movie and Mr. Terrific stole the show.

I gotta edit my post. The Terrifics, not JSA.

The final act of MoS along with that Zimmer score is certainly one of the greatest endings of a CBM. Supes has to defeat the World Engine, fight Zod, and save Lois and the entire planet in a matter of minutes.... No quips or extra heroes dancing all up in the video, just Supes putting in work.

An MCU version of a DC movie.

You don't remember that most people (not me) were trying to shyt on it because of how many people supposedly died off screen? :mjlol:

Checked this out in Imax 3D which was a cool experience (been a while since I've caught a film in that format). If I was giving it a score, I'd say it was a 8/10 and quality start. I think my nitpicks were the small humor/funny moments just felt out place and didn't really care for as much as they had Krypto.
I think they make great choices on the casting with their performance. Mr. Terrific and Green Lantern were depicted well.
The two post credits not really worth staying to catch.

Great movie. 8/10. I’m all the way invested in this universe now. Can’t wait to see how this plays out moving forward and how the tone is with the Batman movie.
