It’s how it’s perceived an alien coming from out of space to conquer the planet and lord over the weakling earthlings. There is a huge issue with that especially when he thought his purpose was to assist the people of earth. I have no issues with Krypton being on the grey scale when it comes to morality. They are an alien race but what I don’t like is JorEl and Lara being that way. I kind of like them being the exception to the norm on Krypton same as a few minorities. Based on their ideology what separates them from Zod? Personally I think it was one of Gunns worst mistakes in this film.
For all we know they are the good kryptonians.

And the Zod thing? If we ever get him here that would actually make it more interesting, instead of the same Zod take we have seen many times, this time it might be a Zod that actually represent the ideals of Clark's bio parents and shyts on clark for going against their wishes.

I wouldn't mind a Goku style Superman that rejects everything from Kryptonian culture and sees himself as human.

But there's clearly gonna be some intergalactic fukkery so lets wait and see what Gunn its planning to do with this version of the Els, so far we have two tyrants and a drunk :russ:

I never liked the idea of the extended version of the message. I like invincible too, but I wouldn't bit them for a Superman man.

I also didn't like how Supes never questioned it. He has most of the Kryptonian tech in the universe and access to Mr. Terrific and all those robots. If he couldn't recover that message how could Lex do it, and even if you accept that he could, why just accept that it wasn't doctored?

He also could have said it was non sense. The message got damaged and it was just jibberish. There's less than 3 people on the planet who could speak the language to begin with.

Movie was good. I think DCU is in good hands with Gunn, I can’t wait to see the other hero’s especially Batman.
I’m definitely more interested in what they do with this universe than the future of the MCU. If they get Batman right, I think the power will completely shift.

Unlucky for DC, CBMs aren’t printing billions like they used to, regardless

It could be garbled up non sense due to the damage. There's less than 3 people on the planet who could speak the language to begin with.

I didn't like the angle of his parents being tyrannical Diddyists....I also laughed out loud at Rocket Racc00n being Jor-El, should have been an older and wiser actor. Not sure if the Kents being trailer park trash was intentionally funny or what, but it was pretty silly overall.

I think a lot of writers have some unresolved parent issues, cause the trend seems to me is to make OG characters inherently flawed. Guess that's their idea of subverting expectations.

:russ: Nah MOS was ass y’all can keep that bs
Yep, foh with that shyt, we can hate on shyt movies, as a huge comic books nerd I take any chance I have to celebrate that the Snyder shytverse is dead and buried.

Yeah,we can move on after our victory lap:blessed:

Been having to hear Snyderverse fans talk about the Snyderverse for a decade. Basically praying that Gunns universe would flop and be universally panned so they could say "told you so". Trashing the trailers, trashing the designs, the color. Now its "Bu bu but why we still talking about the Snyderverse:why:?"

To the victor goes the spoils,we are now in the proccess of rounding up any remaining Zack Snyder loyalist for execution and tearing down any monuments.

Then we can move on to a brighter day:wow:

mr terrific told him the people who transcribed the message wouldnt lie. Should that have been good enough for him? Probably not:mjlol:. But he only has a 30 second message from them. So theres really no reason to cling to the fact his parents were neccessarily who he thought they were.

Yeah it was silly but Supes did said to Louise something like "I always thought I knew how it ended " or something like that so my guess is that he thought the missing part was more of the same "We love you be a good person bla bla bla" so he didn't really put too much effort into it, so by the time he met Terrific restoring the message really wasn't something that even crossed his mind
