Superman first day on the job vs. Superman 3 years into it TBF.

This Superman wasn't weak, but those were powerhouse characters going against powerhouse characters. This felt more like Superman: TAS where he was still really strong but could feel vulnerable at times.
This is the correct way to write Superman, glad to see Gunn understands this.

I always have valued your opinion. Thanks for the honest commentary. I noticed you didn’t give your rating if it wasn’t a 8 or 9 tho :sas2:
I gave my rating in an earlier review. 6.5 I think.

But if you like superman and wanted a 180 from Snyders shyt, an expanded universe and non origin story I can understand why people really like this movie. It's not terrible. I saw some reviews where they shyt all over it and I don't think its that bad.

But its far from classic. I do believe a sequel can out do this one but we will have to wait and see what Gunn has planned.

AND I like the hawkgirl scream. bytch wasnt playing around lmao

Movie was good, and I’m glad Mr Terrific didn’t die for obvious reasons.

They did a good job making characters I was hesitant on likable. I don’t mind that Green Lantern now, nor the dog.

Though they have to find a way to make a Superman movie where the villain isn’t another Superman.

Yeah, that is Gunn's specialty...really outstanding at that, be it gotg, king shark, etc....

Imagine him with X-Men if he had stayed at marvel....or X-Factor...I think he could've made an interesting ALPHA FLIGHT movie lol

Probably already discussed here but I dont think this movie is as much a pro palestinan allegroy for the conflict with the 2 nations that people seem to wish and is picking up steam. It can definetly remind you but I think Gunn is using a generic allegory of conflict with one former soviet country and one middle east/south asia border country.

Was wondering what people thought

Yeah, like how the fukk can earth people decode kryptonian when there’s no damn evidence of its existence besides Supes? :skip:

Did a decoder book fall to earth once the planet exploded? :mjlol:

The dumbest part of the movie. I wonder if Supergirl will address this.

That shyt was a massive plothole for me

even if they say in a later movie its a fakeout, how they decode it quick and why did people just believe then and there and not ask question lol

Superman and Supergirl may be the only Kryptonians, but they arent the only aliens.

Whose to say there isn’t some alien around who has knowledge of a lot of galactic languages. It wouldn’t be hard for a Green Lantern to contact someone who knows that language to verify it if need be.

Luthor pulled a fire breathing giant Stitch out his ass and it didn’t shock anyone. So someone being around who can decipher that language is not a big stretch.

We just watched a movie where not only did a man create pocket dimensions that housed aliens from all over the galaxy but another guy showed up and hacked them immediately and the big plothole for yall is how was a language translated. :heh:

He made Supplemental characters matter with GOTG, and I kinda like that he gives some shine to lesser known characters.

Sidenote: Maybe Iger should consider him replacing Feige :hubie:
Correct but things change when you have to lead an entire company. These supplemental characters and projects should be spread between things, not emcompass the majority of the rollout of the universe.

Me and the 20 people who saw creature commandos liked it but that shyt not ringing bells and bringing in the dollars needed to stay afloat. Your using superman profits and WBs dwindling reserves to push these smaller acts
