It makes perfect sense why they’re doing it.

If the focus is about establishing good/great films, you can insert the connectivity later. All people really need are little Easter eggs and references. Thats easy.

It’s why the first Joker film worked so well.

Making a legit quality film is hard. This is why it’s been 20 years since we’ve had any CBM on the level of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

I rewatched this today. Loved it when I saw it in theaters but on the rewatch that nikka Soup really was a lil whiney. he was right about the shyt he was whining about, but still whiney as hell lol
