It really does. D.Bry can survive another 5 months without getting the belt.
There's money in him chasing it and him as a champion as long as they can build a storyline where he's always skirting the title scene but not in it (aka what they should've done with Roman pre-Rumble).
But they've already elevated Roman Reigns to that WWEWHC spot where him not getting that title will hurt him WAY more than it would hurt D.Bry because we're already used to D.Bry getting the shyt end of the stick.
They can give D.Bry a Summerslam moment with a great build. It doesn't have have to be at Wrestlemania. Last year was great because it was so organic. This year it's just like :rwot: AGAIN?!
And I know it's said time and time again but this is really almost starting to feel like a power struggle between fans and the WWE that shouldn't be happening in the first place. Should the WWE give the fans everything they want? NO. I feel like there should be an element where the fans are like "

They went with that and it worked? Didn't expect it. Hmm maybe I
don't know what's best for business." At the same time, they shouldn't disregard everything that fans want that causes such a backlash that they have to backtrack on their plans. It's that whole 'having your pulse on the fans' thing WWE superstars always talk about.
They seem to not be able to find a happy medium between the two.
