Ever listen to the instrumental album for Ironman? Nearly every beat is extended like a half minute or more with extra flourishes on each song that give it a whole other feel. But even though I feel SC is Ghost's best album, Ironman is the best complete work RZA made in his career.

Even if I don't agree w/ this take I respect it and it makes me wanna peep the instrumental version of Ironman today.

S.C. is when Ghost became Ghost.

Ironman was dope and maybe had a more consistent sound since it was one producer, and it felt like an extension of Linx but with more soul samples. I can't view Ironman outside of the context of those first Wu solos, which to me feel like semi-group albums and RZA also comes across as a huge star on each one. Ironman so heavily features Rae and Cap that I think of it as a sequel to Linx.

S.C. is just a beast of an album and it fees like Ghost's first true 100% solo album. He's the star of his own show by that point.

Wen I wanna hear Ghostface I play Ironman. When I wanna play early Wu music I play Ironman.

Regardless what you pick, its safe to day the God Tony Starks has 2 classic albums under his belt. Indisputable classics.

I don't remember the titles like that, but I remember there being at least 4 tracks around the beginning of the tape that were meh.

that's prolly why this album didn't get its props. it likely turned people off.

Supreme. I dont think Ghost was ever able to resurrect the creative magic he conjured with that album. That's him at the zenith of his writing prime. And that's no knock, as he went on to craft one of the greatest rap discographies of all time with more 4-4.5 star albums to follow. It's just you can put Supreme against the best of the best in rap albums--thats how good it is.

Supreme Clientele edges out Ironman. Ghost was lyrically at his peak during SC, which is also why he himself rates SC over Ironman. I think a lotta ppl also have a lot of nostalgia towards Ghost's debut which sometimes sways their decision. Both are classics to me though.....Ironman like a 10/10, and SC is like 10.5/10 ha

Slight edge to Ironman because it’s part of the initial run though SC’s excellence after the falloff could be used to argue its case on the flip side of the same coin.
