Been thinking about this thread more since Raising Kanan came out. What eventually happened to dudes like this roaming the streets? Dead or locked up for life?
I mean if you was black in the inner city in the 90s most of these guys were burnouts from the the vietnam/ desert storm guys.
I don't know about your hood LA but if you look up the origins of drive bys and gangs you would discover that these guys was coming back from the war and training these guys to be shooters like the military.Burnouts? I thought most of the vets who were troubled became homeless or addicts. They were committing crimes?
I dont miss the late 80s and early 90s. Its the years I experienced the most trauma

PropheticAt the same time I worry about the livelihood of our people who make a living off of it. My concern is that we won't have the social/economic capital and institutional savvy to transition into that sector... like it will just be another things whites get to dominate. So I worry about that. I would hate to see our blunt men in NYC get put out of business by granola-eating vegan white transplants
