Black QB gets passed up for a white one because he's deemed to lack the mental capacity to learn the game. That doesn't sound like the classic racist reasoning that had black QB's going to Canada or converting to WR?
By year three this was Collins:
52.5 completion %
2,124 yds
11 TD
21 INT
Clearly he had trouble learning the game but their extensive testing didn't find that. Nor did it reveal his alcoholism and bigotry. Had Polian not been a bigot he would have taken the better player. WTF is a "little bit of a learning disability?" They probably had McNair graded ahead but went digging for a reason not to take him.
This still goes on. GM's are willing to throw away the teams future and their career on inferior white talent. How did Christian Hackenburg get picked two rounds ahead of Dak Prescott?
Why is a QB class loaded with brothers one of the weakest draft classes at the position?
Why are bums like McCown getting jobs and Kaep can't get a call?
There's patterns of racism all throughout the NFL's fabric so it's not being "sensitive" by calling it out.
