We're never gonna see eye to eye if you rate the second album that highIDAHIH is better than any nas album not named illmatic.
FOMFBOMB isnt much of a dropoff from IDAHIH. its more of a case of apples-n-oranges. you can argue that its better than every post-illmatic nas album as well.
i played FOMFBOMB more than IDAHIH actually.
im not saying X is better, or even in my top 8. but hes arguably top 10 and hes not as far behind nas as yall are making it seem.

I got the second X album at 3-3.5 - so at a minimum, I'm saying Nas has a few 4 mic albums after Illmatic. I think he's got a few classics...but I don't need to go there when it comes to X.

i did not say nas don't spit multis i just said he don't do it like dmx do it on a consistent basis.
its just not your cup of tea breh. it goes back to that apples-n-oranges comment.
as far as nas goes, he may have some personal classics to you. he definitely has some borderline classics. but he only has the ONE undisputed classic album.

respect to Earl, but he got 1 classic, and some ok albums. Nasir has like 3 classics. Not close.

The argument for X over Nas is ruggedness, stronger emotions, higher energy and better action-packed storytelling. As far as multis and verse structure they're equally proficient. How many rappers can pull off barking in the middle of verses and coming off ill though? X has that star quality that Nas lacks. Nas just beats him out by being more intricate, consistent and versatile.
