Aside from the triple threat and women’s OHC, every other match has had a build or some history to it. Kyle/Mark 4 been a series of good matches and 2K/Os has the NJPW connection: the young lion vs the established lion.
Makes no sense not to have Hobbs in the Owen with his new push. Unless he's hurt.

Because, it's to headline the biggest show of the year. This isn't just a King of the Ring type deal anymore. I don't know why some of these mid carders are in this. Plus he doesn't have to lose clean and you can build a match off whatever happens like wrestling has done for decades lol.

We all know the end result isn’t him winning. It doesn’t matter what stakes are on the line because the end result is almost predictable.
Him not in it protects him a bit so he won’t have to eat an L.
We'll have to agree to disagree then because that's not protection booking. Protecting him would be putting him in high profile matches and putting doubt in any loss he takes pinfall, count out, or dq. Unless he's hurt or they have a big match/angle planned you're just keeping him away from the audience so he doesn't lose a match just so he can beat jobbers on Collision. Which TK is known to get bored with his start/stop pushes.
Takeshyta's in this shyt and needs to be protected just as much.

If this was boxing sure.
But Hobbs last singles lost was because he got hit in the head with a briefcase outside interfereance after a bloody fight with the world champ. Nobody after thought he just lost lol. In wrestling since it's predetermined you can do things to play with the outcomes obviously.
