Hangman's torment actually helping Swerve win the title, then winning the Owen and them having a title match at All In would have been real neat way to go. Win for everyone. Get the title off of Mox and end the Deathriders shyt, Mox gets that vacation he's been talking about for 4 years, Swerve gets the belt back, add more weight to Hangman winning the Owen, giant main event match at All In.

Storyline fell completely off the rails and we never got a clear cut end game from the Deathriders

Even after last night people still in here talking about Darby when obviously Hangman wins the Owen and beats Mox at All In. Y'all gonna call it a pivot, too That man is climbing Mount Everest - you have to view the world through the eyes of a child to think people are PLANNING on him.

This entire year has been ALL about Hangman's personal journey and wouldn't you know it who actually had the biggest story moment in the main event.

I think it says something for the losses this roster has taken in the last 12 months that when the lights went out, I was sitting there thinking "there literally isn't anyone left to come out".

People think it's Darby because of how the whole Death Riders thing started, Darby's involvement, and the talks about putting the belt on him before the Death Riders shyt started. If it wasn't going to be Darby from the start, then using him to jumpstart it was stupid.

That being said: while I wouldn't hate the idea of Hangman dethroning it, it wouldn't be my preference. Somebody should be elevated from this whole story. Hangman is already a made man (thanks to Kenny). He doesn't need to take the title from Mox. He can finish his personal journey some other way.

It should be Ospreay. Aside from Swerve, Will is the only other person who has the fans completely behind him. He's the only other one who could be "the guy" for AEW going forward. He should be crowned at All In. Give him the ball and let him run as far as he can with it
