Good not great PPV, so for AEW a bit eh but it definitely had its moments.
I haven't watched Jericho/Bandido or DG/Cole yet but the triple threat was flames, Toni/Megan was brilliant, Trios match was way better than expected, so was the tag match. Ospreay and Knight felt like a preview of their 2027 title feud.
Fletcher/Brisco was a Dynamite match, but they showed out.
Mercedes/Julia aside from a few awkward moments was entertaining and I'd like to see them run it back
Mox and Swerve put on a decent match, with a couple of great moments that finished with a fukkery retain the way anyone with any sense had predicted it was going to end. DR is the main angle of the show, it's going to end at All In. It might not be Darby, tbh I can't work out a mechanic that it could be, but it was NEVER going to happen at a minor PPV built in 3 weeks.
Bucks coming out made me laugh, but it was probably the most underwhelming reveal they had in the tank. They'll get to play their part in Hangman's face turn now I guess. I don't really need to see many more YB matches, but I've rarely if ever not enjoyed one.
It'll never not be hilarious how damn seriously wrestling fans take their playfighting stories when they don't turn out the way they wanted though. The final 5 minutes of a 5 hour show has people arguing into the next evening with folk that made themselves performatively apoplectic by simply reading the results of a show they didn't want to watch in the first place. Wrestling really is undefeated in the hold it has on these sorts of fans. I'd be amazed if half of the people saying they're going NWG even make it through the next Dynamite thread without feeling the need to post.
