Studio closed down for other reasons, not just BECAUSE of Driveclub.

I was asking if Halo 5 changed the game. Looks like it didn't seeing as it's the lowest scoring game in the series and it barely moved Xbox One units.

Uncharted 3 sold 700,000 copies worldwide the year it released and it came out in the middle of October, had black Friday and Xmas sales and still didn't so 1 mil (then the infamous shipping angle was created)

Their last game on PS3, MotorStorm Apocalypse didn't sell very well and I think it had to do with some bad timing due to earthquakes in Japan so it got cancelled there in the end.

Driveclub, while selling 2 million units launched plagued with issues, had bad publicity and probably didn't reach budget costs when you're talking about licenses and stuff with car manufacturers. Sony probably saw it fit to close them down since they feel like Gran Turismo would make better financial sense since that's most likely to sell.

That Crash thread is all kinds of stupid.

Activision putting Crash in Skylanders only strengthens my assumption that there's an actual new game coming. Why else would they insert him in now if not for some sort of cross-franchise marketing.

No way they'd tie it in exclusively for PS4 just for that and not some promotion for an upcoming game. It's way more logical for this to be the case. Skylanders is huge, put crash in to introduce new generation to him and then bring new game out that'll have both old and new audience alike. Makes $$$$ which is the end goal.

Skylanders is huge, put crash in to introduce new generation to him and then bring new game out that'll have both old and new audience alike. Makes $$$$ which is the end goal.

Breh, think about it, why would they bother to bring Crash to Skylanders and make it a PS4 exclusive?? Skylanders is a multiplatform game. Skylanders doesn't need Crash to sell. Why bring an old IP out of retirement for.. who?? To get the skylanders camp(new demographic) familiar with Crash and use that as promotion for a new game from Crash.


Why does Naughty Dog not have Activision mentioned in the credits for Uncharted 4?? You can't use someone's content and not credit them especially in something as big as Uncharted. Uncharted credited even small things such a Polaroid but not Activision?

Even if you're of the party that think they just simply worked out a deal to emulator Crash in UC4, well that's still wrong. People have confirmed that the Crash level in UC4 is not an emulated Crash 1 but some new code with different controls/physics and animations. It looks like Crash but any longtime vet would notice teh controls were a bit floaty and it felt slightly "off". It's running natively in ND's engine.

There's way too much going on just to be a figurine and that's it. I'm betting they simply got a licensing agreement going on that Sony gets an exclusive Crash game and in turn, Activision uses Crash for a Skylanders promotion. All jokes aside.
