always thought the initial sales were boosted by scalpers trying to cop and flip. they shocked everyone by actually being prepared and having a ton of inventory lol

I wasn't too big on it but impulse bought at launch cause I figured it would be hard to find later on. I actually play it a lot tho, way more than my ps5 or xbox right now. came up on the accidental $17 cyberpunk sale too

I actually think switch 2 is a great purchase for those who never had switch 1 like me. Right now, I'm playing upgraded switch 1 games like BOTW and even those that arent like Mario 3D world, and have an entire catalog of S1 games i've never owned. So, the lull of games doesn't bother me.

Bingo, this is the exact feeling I had when I bought a PS5 in 2023 after not owning a PlayStation since PS2. I can't speak for the brehs who already had a Switch but mannnn I cracked my rim the other day on my car. Took it in yesterday. Breh I was having so much fun playing Mario kart online I dead ass told them wait a minute when my car was finished cause I had to finish the race! Mfs in the waiting room hating hard as fukk cause they bored they was silently judging the fukk out of me but I didn't have a care in the world... shyt is the closest thing to restoring that kid feeling I've had in my adult life. I get nostalgic and nearly shed a tear when I think about my first game boy THAT WASN'T EVEN COLOR.

I had that exact one, same color and everything. Looking back I can't believe I'm old enough to remember new handheld devices launching in only black and white colored screens HOLY shyt






Anyways yeah to think back before color screens, back lights (this one is kinda crazy though, idk why they didn't always have a way to keep the fukkin screen lit even my advance didn't have a backlight, that shyt didn't come till SP) Internet capability, huge ass screen (switch 2 shyts all over even the mighty game gear screen size) etc. it overwhelms me with emotions as a lifelong gamer to see how far we've come in just my relatively short life time.






So yeah Imma play this bytch in public as a grown ass man with ZERO shame, idgaf

you can't get a mofo to talk about the system. like they dead ass just dont bring it up. its not a relevant part of the discussion. the stans not gonna pop back out until Mario and Zelda. All that other bullshyt failed to make a cultural impact.

Nintendo aint got nothing new in the pack. Mario will be Odyssey 2 and Zelda will be BOTW 3. but hey $80 & 30fps is truly next gen for these dudes...
