No one is buying this for third party gamesPeople already shytting on the Series S for "holding the Gen back" how's this gonna get received for some of these AAA 3rd party games? Or is it gonna be different cause it's Nintendo?

Digital Foundry is convinced it'll be using DLSS. They're predicting 1080p or 1440p 60, with maybe some 4k 30.

I do like the switch for those 2D-HD JRPG's, (DQ III and Octopath) but beyond those fully agree. No one is buying this for third party games![]()
The big thing is Nintendo always knows how to get the maximum out of their hardware. Hell, all the recent 3D Zelda and Xenoblade games will get a boost for just being played on better hardware.Tbh, I'm happy that NINTENDO THEMSELVES won't be held back anymore.
And no one needs to pretend that the Switch isn't woefully out of date.
The baseline will raise so I think this means potentially more (and better) cross platform games.
Like the performance differential between this new switch and the original should be HUGE which means
across the board every Nintendo title will get a crazy boost to visuals.

I think they've already confirmed backwards compatibility. If this doesn't have Switch 1 backwards compatibility...![]()
