that "doo doo brown" comment was just an exclamation point.

i went in depth about the luke question earlier in the thread.

oh really...........

::mindblown: those blegit songs are classic and damn near 20 yrs old and if u mention em they ring more bells than those juelz singles lol....."oh yes":childplease: that santana song I only seen on bet uncut:laff:

And not even one that wuz in regular rotation on Uncut......Ghetto Smile is a hood classic:damn:.....this Juelz pick really is a horrible blemish on your list...since u have no clue what the classics are when it comes to west coast artist:snoop: let me keep it in your wheel house......u can at least put Webbie on the list if he ain't on there in place of Juelz...juelz has to go
,u got a few others too....but one wack pick at a time:pachaha:

my dude, its like sometimes you live in some sort of altered universe.

you only know "oh yes" from bet uncut? seriously?

then in the same post, you act surprised when somebody never heard of a b-legit song.

Nah I wuz shocked becuz I thought u were saying u never heard sum of those 40 songs I mentioned, not hearing those Blegit songs is just a damn shame but I guess not unheard of depending on where u from......far as Uncut I wuz talkin about that song santana....that has the baby voice on the hook I believe.....in now way is that shyt competing with the impact of the singles I dropped, none of his singles have had that impact....Tell Me When To Go and You and Dat wuz pretty big records....and u can't dispute the fact he did it in multiple eras,u probaly wuznt checkin for em at the time but alotta people were hence all the plaques, and those that were checkin for em knew those records had a impact and thought they wuz classic.....and those who hated how he rapped knew they had sum impact cuz they knew about em,and saw em on tv or heard em enuff on radio to hate on em:laff:.....u think if he wuznt gettin play at the time media outlets would bother bringing him up to hate on and rappers who wuz big name would hate on a dude if he didn't have reach and wuznt visible?but I dropped the 40 argument already and just gave ur list the asterisk*....I'm guessin Webbie can't take Juelz spot huh?or Plies?

"s.a.n.t.a.n.a."was getting burn on rap city and was big on the streets. it wasnt meant to be a big radio single homie. 2 different types of singles.

"tell me when to go" and "you and dat" were just songs that were pushed by radio(the only time i ever heard e-40 on the radio). they werent as impactful as you claim, or else they wouldve created a buzz for his album.

and you must got me confused with somebody else. ive always liked e-40. prolly just as long as you. ive been rockin with dude since the mid-90s. me and you always bump heads when e-40 is the topic because you tend to put him on a pedestal that hes not fit to stand on.

and he almost made the list, which is why i asked you to list singles that i either dont recall or may not be familiar with.

i like plies & webbie but no. theyre not built for this list.

Chart wise they about even, far as pretending the radio just has a love affair with E40 and wanted to push a 40 yr old:comeon:.....far as there being nobody checkin for his album,he went gold with that album at the time, after about 15 yrs in the game....same color plaque Juelz got...and yes we must bump heads bcuz no matter what proof sum of y'all receive about 40's success,no matter what plaques and numbers y'all see,sum of u like to write it off as a fluke cuz u don't understand how he did it "bu bu but 1 million people in the bay bought it":wtb:,cuz u don't hear him in YOUR area or on YOUR radios, plenty folks can tell u that damn "santanna" record wuznt as hot in they streets as u claimin, let me be the first to say it....matter of fact If wiki is accurate that hit wuznt even hot enuff to make his album and ain't even a single which disqualifies it....or if we just gon discuss songs that's hot that had videos ill bring plies in here to bury this shyt:usure:

But what happened to the relevent in multiple eras shyt you talked about earlier bruh?that don't count for nuthin in 40's case...if those chart positions of 40's 2006 tracks don't mean nuthin I'm sayin juelz wuz never relevant in any era and should be disqualified....my nikka after 15 yrs in the game sold what Ross who had one of the hottest song in the country with "Hustlin" did that yr:salute:

I agree with you about 40. If we were talking top 10 or top 20 - then I could see an argument for omitting him, but top 65?? Dude's been around since the late 80s - and he's still relevant today! Plus he can spit, he's got content and he's had numerous hit singles.

Tell me when to go was a huge record. It was the face of the "hyphy" movement - which for better or worse - was a big story at the time. If the record didn't have a huge buzz - he wouldn't have been able to get Kanye, Game and everyone else (Jim Jones?) who was hot at the time on the remix.

Also - Wacky - I went and listened to some more Juvy (Solja Rags) and I got to admit that you were right. He's not trash lyrically. I wouldn't say he's anything special lyrically - but trash is far too harsh. First verse of "Money on the Couch"? That was the verse that did it for me. He's got a song out now with Kidd Kidd where he's got a nice verse too. I was definitely unfairly hating on the guy based on Ha (which I also went back and listened to and is god awful. Horrible flow, horrible lyrics - quite possibly the worst example of rapping on a single).

:salute: exactly, same thing with the Function remix....had Jeezy on there, chris brown in the video

[ame=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gEw3IxKym7o]Music Video: E-40 "Function (Coast to Coast Remix)" - YouTube[/ame]

After 20 yrs deep in it,don't get me wrong nikkas will hop on anything that's hot,but like u said it proves it wuz hot and not just sumthing "radio wuz pushin"...it just like Tell Me When To Go which birthed a remix wuz hot in the streets....and with that said 40's on Jeezys "its the world mixtape" he thinks highly of 40.....he's one one of jeremihs new songs

[ame=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YWLbxwkFPog]Jeremih ft. YG & E40 - Knockin' (Late Nights Mixtape) - YouTube[/ame]

U can't call it label shyt, where labels is forcing they artist to rap on each others shyt.....he's not on a major and 20 yrs in doin the unthinkable....outside Jay,Nas,Juicy J,outkast not to many vets as visible makin moves rubbin shoulders with the mainstream relevant nikkas as he is,certainly not from a independent level NONE of them are doin what 40 do...that's pretty nice company tho.

But its been bought to my attention AZ is ranked in the 20's on this list:mindblown:.....Fonzarelli never had a chance:snoop:,they squashed that bruh its over.:laff:

I think AZ is an incredibly talented emcee. With that being said - no way he is higher than E-40 when it comes to singles. Unless I'm really forgetting something - AZ hasn't had a national single since 1995. His impact on hip-hop is negligible. I guess Wacky is just going purely off the quality of the music.

And, not that it has anything to do with the topic, but 40 got him something serious on Record Haters.
