The Thunder would have lost to the Spurs in the second round if you replaced Westbrook with CP3. :manny:
Not necessarily. Maybe not at all.
Spurs wouldn't be able to sag off Paul the way they did Russ opening the floor up for KD in a big way.
Thunder would be less predictable down the stretch with Paul running the offense as he's a much more effective PnR ball handler than Russ.

They lose in aggression, they lose at the line, they lose in rebounding, But whatever they lose in scoring is made up by greater efficiency and less turnovers and increased synergy with Durant.

Jordan and Pippen, both reserved
Tim Duncan and David Robinson, both reserved
Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard, both reserved
Walt Frazier and Willis Reed, both reserved
Olajuwon and Drexler, both reserved

Not getting your point :jbhmm:

Pippen wasn't reserved. He wasn't a live wire (until MJ left) but he wasn't reserved. And Jordan was never reserved. Duncan was always aggressive, just a calm demeanor. They also had The General firing them up...he led those teams. Duncan also had reckless a$$ Ginobili, Cap'n Jack. Olajuwon & Drexler had Cassell, mad Max for the most port. They don't win without Sammy.

No matter what, most of those players (MJ, Admiral, Pippen sans Jordan) said "gimme the ball" and moved. Dream got on the blocks or high post and called for it. Duncan called for the ball. Drexler just took the ball and went to the rack. Durant doesn't do that at all. He stands out on perimeter and hopes that the ball gets passed to him. He let Westbrook take control of his team, which there's nothing wrong with, but still. CP3 and Durant probably turn into a luxury Blake & Paul. With Durant starting to get bullied.

Switch Chris Paul and Westbrook and Waiters is playing point because Chris Paul got hurt.... probably wouldn't have even beat the Spurs cause CP3 bytch ass cant finish a series without hurting something.

Paul of course would have made better decisions in the clutch and I think he would have had a good to great shooting game in possibly the last game of the season. So it's not hard to see why the OP feels this way about him.

That's true. Dude is definitely no where close to KD level anymore tho

At least he does have the right mentality to win games tho. You need to be selectively selfish, which KD isn't enough of.

If KD had Melos mentally he'd be in the finals right now.

And Melo took at least 1 year off, he's just coasting while knicks work out their problems. Next year he'll be back in the elite top 10 level.

I don't think he was top 10 the year before this one though. The league has gotten alot better since 2013 as well. The West dropped off a bit but almost every team in the West has at least a borderline star.

You got names like: Kawhi, LeBron, Curry, Thompson, LMA, AD, KD, Harden, KAT (yeah), Boogie, Hassan, Westbrick, etc alot of good names out there.

Does Chris Paul all of a sudden stop kd from having one of the worst post season shooting wise of his career ? Westbrook carried us 1-5 not sure how u blame him. Need more then 7 playable players against these guys. Need a back up pg and back for Durant badly . Can't expect them to play 45mpg and have energy down the stretch

Why is Kanter getting paid 16m to sit on the bench. That alone could pay for 2 good back up players. Kanter should start.

Both teams would be better if they switched point guards imo.

No hate to either cp3 or Westbrook but styles make the fight and their styles are better suited for each other's teams than their own.

Chris Paul is a loser. I've seen enough to know.

Westbrook with MELO would win a title.
Russ paired with a guy who shoots worse from everywhere on the floor, passes the ball even less, and plays little defense would win a title? H hasn't even been in the playoffs there last 3 years :mjlol:
