The main reason for me to do this is because for some fukking reason, apple charges astronomical prices for larger size iPhones, I want to have all my music (about 80gbs) on my phone, but I don't want to pay about £800 for the privelage.

Someone told me I can get a 128gb micro sd card and use it with a galaxy s4, so I've got an upgrade soon abc was thinking of switching?

I'm sure there are going to be downsides, like how is the galaxy music program?

I know some people hate itunes, but I quite like it and have been categorising/rating my music fir years into playlists I like, I'll lose all that won't i? :sadcam:

Anyone got any pros/cons for either side?

There is no real iTunes counterpart for Galaxy. In my personal experience with droid/galaxy users. Not one of them has even bothered to download samsungs music organization/ phone backup software. None of them. Itunes and Icloud have me spoiled cause they just work and I don't have to fuss with it too much.

Installing Samsung Kies has been a nightmare every single time I've had to do it. It's a ugly and messy piece of software.

You dont have to use Kies or any samsung programs for the galaxy. If you like it, cool, if you dont you can go on the App market and download the music program of your choice. I use madd player, best imo. You can just drag and drop your songs on your SD card and go. No need for all that syncing bullshyt.

Don't get the GS4 for listening to music, with the same beats studios songs sounded worse in quality on my GS4 and like someone already said there's no real alternative to iTunes on it either... Only thing I miss from that phone was the ability to download straight to it and for the upgradable memory

why is the iphone so expensive where u live? do ya'll not have contracts?

I never checked out the contracts, I currently pay 45 a month for a 16gb iphone 4 over 24 months for an all in package.

And I just checked its £709.00 for a 64gb iphone 5s with no contract, fukking ridiculous for some extra space for music.

Must be scared of making iPods obsolete?

Edit:I'm in london, England.

iPod storage looking flabby and sick at this point.

I only wish I could test drive a Samsung s4 for a week.

ya'll got craigslist or its equivalent over there? You can buy a phone off there for cheaper off contract. but even here, the iphone 5S and 5C are pretty expensive on the secondary market cuz it's only been out a month. if you have an iphone 5, why not wait til the 6 drops? the jump from 5 to 5S isn't drastic enough to warrant spending that kinda money IMO.

I just upgraded from 4S to 5S last month and I got a 32GB phone for $300 with a contract and sold my 32GB 4S for $175 in order to negate those cost.

my wife upgraded from 4S to 5C and best buy gave her like $150 for her 16GB 4S which is more than what she paid for the 5C which was only $99.
