I hopefully its better than Fin
I liked fin for what it was. And after hearing the matt Martians, lacy, and thundercat albums, I'm kinda happy she went for a more mainstream sound. All their shyt sounded the same and that sound got played real quick. Only thing missing for me on fin was better vocals, she sounds really good on internet albums, but fin was kinda :patrice:

I thought Fin was amazing. I'm actually surprised that people didn't like it. I mean, what is there not to like??
I know it was probably an unfair expectation but Ego Death was so damn good and she bodied a majority of the album I just felt her solo would be on the same level or at least memorable. Besides Know (where she sounds a lot like Aaliyah) nothing else really stuck for me compared to others like SZA and H.E.R. who's albums have owned my R&B lane.

I'm so out of the loop that I didn't even know Syd dropped a solo album. I heard her solo song once when I played the radio.

I'm listening to Fin now but I'm only 2 tracks in
