Point is none of these hoes is can really sang. That wasn’t an issue with our black queens 20 years ago. now our women can’t even outsing above average cacs.. that’s the problem. Not enough talent and skill. A pretty tone and nice branding doesn’t compensate for run of the mill singing that any crooner on the street could emulate.
Yeah, most of these newer artists can’t sing, but I feel that H.E.R. is an exception to that rule. And she’s one of the select few that can actually sing live and sound just as good as she does on the record. She has a nice soulful tone and her harmonies are great. JoJo and Tori can sing of course, but I feel like their music isn’t as “soulful” as H.E.R.’s stuff and that’s what places the latter above the 2 former for me.
