I just came in here to cosign everyone who's giving props to The Recession. I did not mess with Jeezy at all until that album, and now it's one of those albums I just put on and play all the way through.

explain what?
nah homie. youre the one with the explaining to do. where u from, whats ur age and whats your life like.
i lived thru this era full-metal jacket.
nikka are you high right now?as much as i fukk with ross and jeezy... T.I peak was unfukkwithable
lmao @ the nikkas saying jeezy WAS more popular than T.I... house nikkas
Tip is to the term "trap" as Weezy is to the phrase "Bling Bling".. They may not have created the word/phrase but they introduced it to the masses
when KING dropped he did 550k+ 1st week and that same week he had a #1 movie @ the box office..
who was bigger than TI in 2006? only one who come close is KANYE.. and he didnt drop shyt in 2006 LR was 2005...
sales PROVE he was the biggest trap rapper of the last decade
\
how is JEEZy more popular? TI has MULTIPLE MULTI-PLAT ALBUMS
you said jeezy was bigger every year but 06 i proved he didnt now your avoiding the question...\
..
im 25.. i KNOW who was on top when
jeezy is and was more popular.
if anybody are house ni&&as, its the people who disagree, because they clearly just stay in the house and just go by what they see on tv.
i cant even get in a real debate with people like this.
duke came off as if he was making it seem like tip created the style.
i dont know if thats what he truly meant, but thats how it came off.
i just peeped how you tried to change your argument on the slick.
you said that when jeezy & ross came out, tip was on top. they came out before KING.
no you dont.
youre just number-crunching.

jeezy was never big as clifford was in 05-06 when king dropped. breh
that song was literally everywhere.
the anticipation for 101 was so heavy in the streets that it seemed like he was bigger, yall are underestimating the damage clifford did on these charts for about 5-6 years straight.
dude had a #1 movie and a #1 album in the same week and your still arguing this?
they wasnt calling him the southern jay-z for no reason especially judging from his numbers.
and ross did not debut before king, pom didnt drop until like june or july of that summer i believe.
your proving my point, i already said jeezy had a bigger movement, cheif keef has a bigger movement then jeezy does now whats your point, that dosent transend into sales/awards/hits which clifford trumps jeezy in every category, if this dosent determine who is/was bigger than please explain to me what does?youre sippin the kool-aid. and that "southern jay-z" comment says it all because thats the idea that these magazines and television & radio outlets were relentlessly pushing to the masses. as i said yesterday, there was a communal effort within the industry to make T.I. the man of the south. and it was obvious to anybody that was fully cognizant of the game at the time.
meanwhile, jeezy was getting snubbed out of awards because the industry never f**ked with him like that.
so of course, to the average person that just follows rap thru tv and the charts, it may seem like tip was bigger than jeezy, but he really wasnt. niccas that was out there know that jeezy had the last movement in hip-hop. tip on the other hand, is just a popular rapper. its not even arguable between the two.. you dudes are telling on yourselves in this thread.
the snowman movement >>>> tip's career

jeezy still getting snubbed. his own label been sabotaging him for years now.
i dont care how much tip sold. he better be outselling jeezy with all the spotlight that he gets. and being in jail is the best promotion homie. dont get it twisted.
BUT 103 IS WAY MORE RELEVANT THAN WHATEVER THE NAME OF TIP'S LAST ALBUM WAS.
lol @ chief keef.![]()

the snowman movement >>>> tip's career

:nikkaplease: I'm a fan of Jeezy and I respect his movement, but you should be smacked on sight for that comment.... At the end of the day.. Jeezy is and was nothing more than a one dimensional trap rapper... He was just something fresh and new back in 05 with amazing production and was cosigned by BMF.. Look how quickly nikkas flocked to Gucci... That nikka Jeezy still salty bout that.. Tried to have the nikka off'd and everything LOL...
.... Brah you losing touch wit realityYou're just stanning right now HARD.... snowman movement > Tip's career??![]()

TI dropped 3 back to back classics TM, UL(very suprised no one mentions this album) and King.. Then he dropped Papertrail.... Brah you losing touch wit reality
Since when is UL a classic album? classic songs, yes..but that album as a whole was hit or miss. Paper Trail wasn't that good either, I still don't see what people see that shyt. And yeah nikkas flocked to Gucci and even Ross but Jeezy is the only trap rapper to ever continusly go platinum WITHOUT compromising his style and selling out, that's one of the reasons his fanbase is so strong and can still sell over 700k without any hit singles while Tip has just been
for the past 2 years.
