"Soul Survivor" is Jeezy's biggest hit and it wasn't about trappin' either. Neither was "Luv It" or "Go Getta" or any of his other big records.

"I'm Da Man" was huge in the A regardless of how people felt about D4L.

Jeezy did not blow up "Hello" and "Imma Do Me". The version of "Imma Do Me" that doesn't feature Jeezy was already huge and T.I. is also featured on the remix. Again, Rocko was doing things musically in the A before people even knew who Jeezy was. Rocko was writing and putting other artists on.
Bruh r u serious i suggest you go back and listen to those records you talkin bout. They are all street records. And I believe Jeezy got nominated for a Grammy with lose your mind with plies and that was his biggest record. I'm da man was a local record. Shawty lo did not pop off until hello dropped. That song played everywhere. And if you was in the club when that song drop most of the time shawty lo part didn't even get played. Yes rocko was doing things in the music scene in atl but his first national record featured jeezy. Who At the time jeezy was hotter than fish grease. Just like gorilla zo popped off because guess who verse made his record a smash.

Street records =\= trap records.

Lose My Mind isn't Jeezy's biggest record. Soul Survivor is.

Shawty Lo didn't officially pop off until They Know.

Rocko's first national record is Umma Do Me

This is all subjective because you could just as easily say Trap Muzik, Urban Legend, and King>>>>>> Thug Motivation, The Inspiration, and The Recession. Trap Muzik birthed TM101 word to Jeezy sampling "Rubberband Man" on said album. T.I. had bigger hits without having R. Kelly and Akon on his singles. "What You Know" and "Big Things Poppin'" are bigger than any solo hit Jeezy has ever had. "What You Know" is bigger than any single Jeezy ever had period and it wasn't even catering to a Pop audience.

Still, this doesn't support an argument of how Jeezy is somehow artistically better than T.I.
This isn't a subjective opinion, it's a fact that Trap or Die, a mixtape is held in higher esteem then all of T.I's albums within the culture. You're conflating cross over success and this Hiphop shyt. If this was 95 you'd be telling me Coolio's joint>Me against the world.

people in here claiming that tip had more longevity than jeezy? GTFOH.

jeezy's last album was buzzin. whens the last time tip's albums were generally relevant? paper trail?

and its sickening how people are basing this off of commercial success.

RIP HIP-HOP

its not about who did it before who.

its about who made it THE CHIT.

jeezy made trap music THE CHIT and his style of trap is what changed the landscape of rap music.

"still tippin" wasnt a movement.

it was 3 guys on a classic hit single right before they were all about to drop their national debuts.

and their buzzes were all dry once it was time to drop their next albums.

it was a great MOMENT but not a movement.
Jeezy last album was not bussin lol , when's the last time Jeezy had a hit?

Yeah. But we can't forget that abomination called ti vs tip lol
The execution of that album was terrible lol
I remember everyone thinking there was gonna be a 2nd disk when it leaked but it.never happened :deadmanny:

What's funny about that album is that it seemed like EVERYBODY knew that album was a bad idea before it dropped yet he still went ahead with it. Thought he was at that level where he could put something mediocre out and the public would eat it up :dead:
