Wasn't ti vs tip just a throwaway so he can have material for when he went to jail? Ppl give Wayne a pass for I'm Not A Human Being (I thought this album was pretty solid)
Jeezy hands down. Dude had an consistent and epic run. At one point, he was arguably the man in the south as far as this rap/hip hop shyt goes. Opened doors for new atlanta/south and literally snatched the mics from trick daddy, outkast, and the old southern guard
you're right. it was the 2nd jail stint and "No Mercy" album that was kind of just thrown out therejeezy's run takes a complete chit on TIP's.
last movement in hip-hop.
jeezy easily.
the album was already out.
matter fact, when they arrested him at the venue of the hip-hop awards, he was supposed to premier his 3rd single that night.(hell, it mightve been the 4th).
this is why i always say, those prison runs were the best things to happen to tip's career after '06. especially this one, because it made people forget about the trash album that he had already dropped.
Monetarily T.I.
Artistically Jeezy.
Much like jeezy ushering in the big time dope boy trap talk in southern trap music. A verse from jeezy put shawty lo and rocko on the map.Jeezy had a nice three album run from '05 -'08. You could extend it from late '04 with the Trap or Die mixtape also. That's when Jeezy was consistently dropping heat. Then the whole fiasco with TM103 happened and Rick Ross moved comfortably into his lane and it was never the same again. Jeezy was huge, but I still don't really consider what he did a movement. When I think of movements I think of something like what happened with "Still Tippin". From that one song, you had several artists in Houston blowing up and had strong hold on rap for a good year.

Jeezy has a better discography with multiple projects held in higher esteem than anything T.I dropped and he did it without resorting to corny pop songs.Jeezy and artistic don't even look right together. This is a dude who billed himself as more of a motivational speaker than he was a rapper, so he definitely wasn't an "artist". There's nothing that Jeezy does artistically that T.I. isn't better at. That's like saying Game is artistically better than Nas.[/QUOTEJeezy has a better discography, multiple projects that are held in higher esteem than anything T.I dropped and he never resorted to making corny pop songs tryna cross over.
