Neither was prime Snoop, that don't make it any easier to be prime Snoop, you know better than this....T.I had the intangibles you cant teach:banderas:

And nobody can be as cool as prime Snoop, but T.I is right up there, and he is definitely in a different league on a technical level.....And compared to Jeezy,Gucci and 95% of the south T.I is definitely a lyrical juggernaut.

youre proving my point actually.

T.I.'s intangibles aint got chit on jeezy & Gucci's.

Gucci can spit just as good as tip when he wants. tip is not all that with his try-hard lyrics. that first verse is a prime example of his forced lyrics. I always wondered who did that beat tho?

T.I. is cool to you? dude was always came off like a cornball.

nah.

pat was a niche artist in the national scope.

truth be told, jeezy un-intentionally did the most to pave the way for Gucci, on the national tip.

:wtf:

nobody is arguing in favor of coolio.

hes saying that YOU would be arguing in favor of coolio over pac if this was 20 years ago.

its not rocket science b.

its sorta like putting 50 cent over DMX.

thats analogy is for the folks that don't like the pac/coolio analogy.

THANK YOU.:salute:

and yea, props to flip. hes the one that sparked that run and was the only one that actually stuck. too bad he got blackballed tho.

Did you not post that Coolio was commercially bigger than all of them at that time? Is that not arguing in favor of Coolio? Even commercially, Coolio was not bigger than 2Pac in 1995.

nobody is slighting TI.

its just that some of us know who he is and who he isn't.

as for tip introducing the style to the mainstream, sure he did that. but jeezy made everybody jump on it.

you act like tip is some sort of lyrical juggernaut.:heh:

You are one of the posters slighting T.I. Act like T.I. hasn't held his own on songs with Jay ("Swagger Like Us"), Nas ("Topless" and "Grand Finale"), and Ice Cube ("Grand Finale"). He survived being served by Ludacris. He pretty much sealed the deal on Lil' Flip and Shawty Lo's careers. And yeah, in comparison to Jeezy, T.I. is a lyrical juggernaut.

you want me to give tip brownie points for
- hanging on a track with some washed-up rappers
- getting chitted on by Ludacris
- being more lyrical than a rapper who doesn't rely on lyricism.
- making a fool out of himself in the lil flip & shawty lo fiascos.
:mjlol: @ this participation trophy society.

and for the record, I'm not slighting anybody. I'm just saying that he didn't have it poppin like jeezy and on a str8 street-level, he didn't have it poppin like Gucci neither.

THAT ALL.

TI is the only one who can still drop a song/verse/album and be a contender for top spot in the game. Boy got 16 years in the game and is still King of the South.

Delusions of grandeur as usual. It's good that you have a high opinion of yourself, but you really take it TOO far. I wasn't looking for brownie points. I state an opinion and back it up with facts.

No what you're doing is what you always do. When you don't know what you're talking about, you hide behind "the streets" or being a "head" because you really aren't familiar or in tune at all. That's where you get "nobody cared", "washed up rappers" (that would include Jada and Nas according to YOU), "they weren't poppin" or some other made up criteria that you try to pass off as fact.

You're out of touch. Before T.I. dissed Flip, Flip was on fire. He had features and "Game Over" and "Sunshine" was killing. Then T.I. disses him and Flip pretty much disappears. Same goes for Shawty Lo. He had "They Know", "Foolish" and "Done, Done" ringing in the streets. His buzz was already dwindling by the time T.I. dropped "What's Up, What's Happenin" that summer. After "What's Up, What's Happenin", Shawty Lo was where exactly. That's not to mention that T.I. shot the video in his hood. Only deluded T.I. haters who lack logic and objectivity would think T.I. embarrassed himself.

what the hell are you arguing with me for.:mindblown:

I'm not arguing in favor of coolio!!!!!

I was simply trying to explain to you what dude meant by that comment. ITS CALLED AN ANALOGY. and apparently, you don't get it because you didn't know that coolio was commercially the biggest rapper back then.

Out of those 4, Jeezy is my favorite but I'm gonna have to say T.I. I know T.I. vs. T.I.P. was wack but even that album was a hit. If we look at it objectively he simply had the most succesful run out of those 4.

welcome to hip-hop 2016.

where being more commercial means that you had the best run.

f*ck it all man. just end this chit already.

I got what he was saying. I didn't need you to explain it. My reply to his analogy was me saying that I wasn't likely to argue in favor of Coolio based on commercial success especially since his standing commercially vs. Pac commercially is arguable.
