The premise of this thread is actually right 
but honestly she let him get away with it for years because as his career popped off because she became a kept woman. The interview quote in the OP says so. The fact that it took 15 years and a woman she hired to be the last straw says something. But this is the story of many rich and famous men. I can't say Tiny got with him for money but once he started raking it in she settled for the bullshyt.

Tip is rich and famous, he wasn't staying faithful to a woman who looks like Tiny. If it was some other R&B singer who was good-looking, it (probably) would be a whole another story.

I think that's true and it's just because of who he is now. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Any new woman just gonna be after the fame and fortune. They may have had their problems but they worked together and made things happen. Watching the episode just now at my friends house, I hadn't seen the show in quite some time, and at the end I was like damn that's gotta get in your feelings. Going from having a huge house filled with a loving family to turning off the lights to an empty house. Sure he said it's the end of the chapter but it's tough to end such a big chapter in your book.
