That was too far even for the Coli'

:lolbron:

But, T-Mac needs to chill

Prime T mac in Orlando was averaging 32 points a game (2002-2003) during the era of half court set defensive lead teams like San Antonio

Why does he need to chill if all hes saying is he'd average 3 more points than he did in this era when people are running and gunning far more?

They run & gun more but they also play a more team-oriented game and don't run as much isos. Plus guys play less minutes - Giannis' league-leading 37.2 MPG would have barely cracked the top 40 in '03.

Slowed down halfcourt offenses favor superstar numbers because they usually have the ball in their hands more. It's the roleplayers who usually suffer. LeBron, Kobe, MJ, etc. all had their biggest scoring seasons playing on teams that were near the bottom of the league in pace.

I mean Bron did average 31ppg in 2006 and 30ppg in 2008, but I agree, he don't have the mentality to average 35ppg

I do think Kobe,Tmac, Steph and KD could average 35ppg if they just focused on scoring

LOL KOBE ALREADY DID AVERAGE OVER 35 PPG WHEN THE NBA AVERAGE WAS 97 PPG

PRIME KOBE WOULD BE AT 45 PPG IN THIS ERA

T-Mac is more talented than Lebron now :mjlol:

Prime T-Mac gives Prime LeBron a run for his money. 33 year old LeBron? :mjlol: Prime T-Mac would make that stat-padding no defense playing over the hill dude look like a scrub.

Bron just lucky he's aging during the weakest era in NBA history while also being in the most inflated stats era in NBA history. This is why it gives idiots like you the impression he's still near the top of his game when the reality is LeBron is not close to the player he was in 2014 (his last true dominant season).

A 33 year old LeBron is not seeing Prime T-Mac. Don't care what you box score hounding nerds think.

KOBE NEVER SHOT THAT BAD IN A FINALS

IT JUST GOES TO SHOW LEBRON COULD NEVER WIN WITOUT ANOTHER ALPHA SCORER ON HIS SIDE
He’s a career 41% Finals shooter and he literally shot 38% in the ‘04 Finals while scoring on trash volume for his standards

He averaged 34 on 56% shooting in the '17 finals, 34 on 53% shooting against Boston in '12 and 38 on 48% shooting against Orlando in '09. shyt the entire '09 playoffs he averaged 35 on 51%. Or is there some complicated caveats to those numbers?

AND YET PRIME TMAC WAS STILL A BETTER SCORER

scam.gawd.harden is 6'5 with a eagle wingspan & stronger than 99.9% if not all of his contemporaries

running fast & jumping high is cool but the fact that scam.gawd can dominate at a walking pace is a plus

he'll be getting #'s for a long time after everyone else not named lebron has blown their legs out tryna out run & jump over everyone

you have a terrible track record when it comes to this shyte bro jahahahahaa

I don't care about numbers. Harden handles the ball every play and is surrounded by guys who have no skill other than shooting and playing defense. Obviously in D'Antoni's system he'll put up numbers in any era.

I'm talking about mano y mano playoff matchup basketball. James Harden doesn't rate on that scale when compared to the shooting GAWDs that played in the early 2000s when T-Mac was at his peak. In the early 2000s you're looking at Kobe, T-Mac, Vince Carter, Allen Iverson, and Ray Allen every other night. Kobe, T-Mac, and Vince would all have made James Harden look silly in a playoff matchup head to head.

James Harden is simply a black Steve Nash on steroids. Nice crafty guy with good skill that is benefiting from a watered down era of NBA basketball (especially at the SG position).

Beyond the difference in style, there was simply way more talent in the league back then. That is the biggest difference between the early 2000s and today. You had teams like Dallas who had Dirk, Nash, and Michael Finley struggling to make the playoffs in the Western Conference back then.

The NBA had significantly more talent back then. Right now we are experiencing a talent drain in the NBA. Its how an over the hill LeBron can still be the most dominant player in the game.
