They run & gun more but they also play a more team-oriented game and don't run as much isos. Plus guys play less minutes - Giannis' league-leading 37.2 MPG would have barely cracked the top 40 in '03.

Slowed down halfcourt offenses favor superstar numbers because they usually have the ball in their hands more. It's the roleplayers who usually suffer. LeBron, Kobe, MJ, etc. all had their biggest scoring seasons playing on teams that were near the bottom of the league in pace.

Yeah but you also gotta consider the Lebron, Kobe, MJ types in this era HAVE to share the ball on the teams they on (Westbrook and Durant are on teams with other scorers).
Unless Mac and them playing with an AI too, its probably still the same as their game fits this era

And that’s an accomplishment fool :mjlol:

LeBron averaged damn near 40 and his second option was Delly he made the series competitive in what should have been a sweep on paper. He was facing a 67 win team with the best defense in the league.

Beyond the difference in style, there was simply way more talent in the league back then. That is the biggest difference between the early 2000s and today. You had teams like Dallas who had Dirk, Nash, and Michael Finley struggling to make the playoffs in the Western Conference back then.

The NBA had significantly more talent back then. Right now we are experiencing a talent drain in the NBA. Its how an over the hill LeBron can still be the most dominant player in the game.

Meh I dont know about that though, the league's got a lot of talent now too (Westbrook, Durant, Harden, Lillard, Giannas, Davis, Boogie, Steph, Klay, Emiid, Draymond, CP3, Bron, Kyrie) but Theres probably more perimter all stars now than back then, but more specialists back then.

League is watered now. The 2015 Golden State Warriors wouldn't have made it to the playoffs in the Early 2000s Western Conference.

LeBron is playing subpar competition right now during an era of inflated stats. If T-Mac played in 2015 against that sorry Warriors team, he would've average 50 PPG in his sleep.

No it doesn't. Just cause you're the tallest midget don't make you tall. Just cause those dudes are better than the bums they go against don't make them all-time great. The talent level right now in the NBA is at an all-time low. And the quality of basketball is reprehensible to watch. The NBA has been my favorite sport for my entire life and its UNWATCHABLE to me now. There ain't a single player or team that is must watch TV.

That is downright pathetic.

Well, in that case, stop fukking watching it and spare us of your wretched arguments.
