"Max almosts seems blacker than you Stephen A."
He questioned his behaviour/views towards Black people/issues not outright said he is blacker than SAS. Which in some ways its the same thing but I saw it as a warning that SAS is looking funny in the light. SAS can't complain too much about that. :yeshrug:

His point was also that kaep had the waiver since Wednesday. We didnt hear his objection until a few hours before the workout and they didnt communicate that to the NFL either until then. If that was the issue they should had addressed prior to the day of the workout or just canceled it all together without the sassyness and theatrics.

If a team wanted to sign Kaep they had three years to do it. All they had to do was bring him in and give him whatever standard paperwork they give to every other FA they wanted to sign

Stephen A just told Max "You can go to all the barbeques you want but I have to go back in the community" :russ: all because Max said Kap should be able to wear a Kunta Kinte shirt.

Nobody is arguing that point. They don't WANT to sign him. That's the whole point and he knew that going in! BUT they would probably have signed him to a minimum deal somewhere just to lay the issue to rest and score cheap PR. It's like being hired as the token negro at a job. They don't really wanna hire a black person and you know what time it is. Doesnt mean you cant take advantage of the situation if your goal is have a job.

The problem with Stephen A, and T.O’s MAIN point was that he gets on the air and he sounds like he’s attacking Kaepernick. It’s his TONE. It’s similar to how he gets on black athletes who get in trouble for smoking weed. Most people will feel like they shouldn’t get punished for weed anyway because it’s a dumb rule, while Stephen A is coming from the standpoint of don’t fukk up the bag for weed. Even if he’s right about that, as a media person, he’s in a position to be an advocate where instead of admonishing the player for weed, he should he saying how stupid and harsh the rule is.

I feel like there’s different levels of c00ning. Some c00ns hate being black. Some c00ns long for white admiration. I don’t think Stephen A is either. Stephen A is the scared c00n. He’s fully aware of racism, but refuses to ruffle any feathers. Instead of trying to destroy the system, he would rather try to navigate through a fukked up system and urge other blacks to do the same.

SAS problem is that he is trying to be logical when folks are arguing from emotion. You will never win that battle. That's like arguing with a woman on her cycle.

This. He's arguing a pragmatist approach in the way Kaep and team should conduct themselves, while Max and everyone else is arguing for an ideal world that doesn't exist. The average person, let alone black person, in America doesn't get to antagonize an employer and still end up with a job offer. How y'all figure Kaep should be able to pull it off? Because shea butter twitter says so?

nikkas love kaep but have nfl avis and watch it every Sunday. :mjlol:

And DEFINITELY this.

I boycotted watching the NFL for two years while everyone I know (majority black), continued watching like clockwork. Y'all wanna be up in arms about Stephen A but steady supporting the league that's actively blackballing Kaep? How many of y'all clowning Stephen A, or Jay-Z for that matter, actually took dollars out of the NFLs pockets by not supporting their product?

I've been tired of the Kaep debates man, too many fukkin clowns and hypocrites involved :childplease:

This applies to 99.99% of black america. Nobody is destroying any system. Yall are clocking in and going work everyday and watching NFL every Sunday.

So you're saying that it's not WHAT Stephen A said, it's HOW he's saying it?

Is it not ironic that Stephen A's whole argument is that it's not WHAT Colin stands for that's wrong, it's HOW he's going about it?

You don't see anything wrong with Kaep's approach? You don't see why Stephen A would take his position at all?

Well Stephen A was also wrong about how different the waiver was. He was wrong about already having that high school reserved because he knew he wouldn’t be participating at the Falcons facility (school board confirmed that it wasn’t already reserved). Stephen A was saying Kaepernick knew it would be unfair when he tried to get back and he should’ve had his lawyers speak. That would’ve been even worse optics and the NFL would’ve said they tried but Kaepernick refused (like they did), probably implying he wasn’t even ready and that it was all talk on his behalf, especially with no footage. Instead Kaepernick called their bluff and showed he was STILL ready on the day they scheduled this “workout.”

How could the NFL say Kaep refused if he had his lawyers make a public statement explaining their objections to the provided waiver and media restrictions for the workout? How could they say he refused if his team explained their plans to setup an alternate workout?

Do you think wearing a kunta kinte shirt during the workout was the move? Do you think Nessa sending out that Django tweet when the Ravens were thinking about signing Kaep was a move? Do you think causing controversy and playing to the twitter activists vs. keeping it legal and professional and going through your lawyers is the move? When you or anybody else you know looks for a job, do you/they antagonize employers during the hiring process and then turn around and expect to get the position? Do you think Kaep has any responsibility at all for some of these situations going left?
