Do you really think if his lawyers made a public statement that it would do Kaepernick a favor? People already accuse him of being a “silent activist.” They’ll just say he’s hiding again. The only thing the mainstream media would show is Kaepernick refused to workout and the optics would be even worse. How could the NFL say Kaep refused if he had his lawyers make a public statement explaining their objections to the provided waiver and media restrictions for the workout? How could they say he refused if his team explained their plans to setup an alternate workout?
Do you think wearing a kunta kinte shirt during the workout was the move? Do you think Nessa sending out that Django tweet when the Ravens were thinking about signing Kaep was a move? Do you think causing controversy and playing to the twitter activists vs. keeping it legal and professional and going through your lawyers is the move? When you or anybody else you know looks for a job, do you/they antagonize employers during the hiring process and then turn around and expect to get the position? Do you think Kaep has any responsibility at all for some of these situations going left?
