and this is what's wrong with hip hop culture...i am not on the side of saying hip hop created the violence, but it's an art form where a good half-3/4 of the artists are judged by how much they're in the streets, and are expected to be and encouraged to be in the streets....even many of the "squares" have had to mix and mingle and/or prove how hard they are on wax.

it's the only genre where fans (and the artists) for dudes beating other crews down, being ten toes down on the block, etc after getting on. nah, how about we clap for them not coming back. if you're not in the area for an intentionally positive reason (even then, some of these rappers know they shouldn't be back in their hometowns), then just dont go. there's more ways to have fun away from the hood/hood nikkas than there are in the hood
