Disagree...Takeover served it's purpose

Arguably over hyped but not as much as Ether

What are Ether's quotables? fukk Jay z? Lol

I can never get a good answer

Only "well Jay was crying on the radio..."

Ppl just want Nas to win. He's easier to root for
Whole song is quoted….shut up

Just Hawaiian shirts :scust:

That's all it's about, it's pretty much the only thing he's celebrated for aside from Illmatic.

His fanbase are obsessed with everything Jay

I think they even celebrate "Ether Day" on this site

Not like us is even more overrated
Kind of the first diss song to have crossover success though, and blowout success at that

It's possible some of the reach may have been accomplished with coordinated marketing efforts but even if so has largely sustained those efforts on it's own merit

The song is a pop success and has propelled Kendrick Lamar to a higher stratosphere, rightfully it is his only claim to that status but they are lining him up to continue that success

Time will tell, how he follows up is what matters

And his new album was well-received critically
